About this deal

We just had a bit of concern with the Mini. Yes they may have ingeniously kept the triangular shape, but ergonomically it falls short in our opinion. A traditional round handle would’ve been the best design choice in our opinion.

We still feel that most of these attachments are pretty similar. The ball, dampener, and thumb attachment are all alike. We wouldn’t mind if they introduced the fork and flat head attachments. That’s just what we feel, having used many massage guns. We think the warranty is somewhat disappointing. Especially when you consider that brands like Ekrin and Lifepro give you a lifetime warranty when you buy their devices. They also guarantee you lifetime customer support. Theragun asks you to pay extra for extra coverage for just 1 year. It’s made of quality plastic, with the handles rubberized. But just like the Elite model, only the outside of the handle is rubberized.

As for the two new attachments, the Thumb is a good addition and replaces the all-too-pointy Cone. As I was told during the initial product demo session, the brand tried many different shapes before they settled on this one, as this represented the shape of the thumb the best. It works well and provides a firm but not excruciatingly painful experience.

Theragun PRO attachments vs. Elite attachments vs. Prime attachments vs. mini attachments All 6 Theragun Attachments and their impact level (also firmness). For endurance athletes, powerlifters, or anyone else working their muscles to fatigue several times a week, the Theragun PRO 5th Generation offers the most power of any Theragun massage gun on the market. In fact, our testers noted that at times, the pressure was too intense (especially for those with petite frames). However, with six attachments, 150 minutes of battery life, and 60 pounds of stall force, there’s no doubt that this is meant for serious athletes. Even if you’re not a professional, in our experience, the Pro still offers everything you might need from a top-tier Theragun device. Do not be unsettled by its powerful features – you can still use the Pro gently, and it will work perfectly. The Pro has a 16mm amplitude, and, as in other full-sized Theraguns, this is still the longest amplitude you can get. The Pro’s 16mm amplitude is confirmed.Float the device across areas in need of treatment, gradually applying light to moderate pressure as needed. For a light massage that won’t go deep into bigger muscles, Prime should be good enough. However, for deep tissue massage and especially when you want to work on your quads and hamstring, the extra 10lbs. stall force on the Elite can make a huge difference. Also, the long amplitude is justified on Elite. Like we mentioned above, some devices have a higher percussions-per-minute rating. For example, the Hypervolts have a percussion range of up to 3200rpm, some rev up to 3800rpm. However, these do not have the long stroke length like what you get with the Theraguns. The Achedaway Pro also offers more intensity with up to 2800 maximum percussions. That’s impressive, given its long amplitude. It also has 5 built-in speeds.

Unlike the Elite, which has a colored ring on its arm, the Pro has a colored circle on the part enclosing the motor. Some features of the mini are almost similar to what you find in Theragun Prime. So the mini makes the cut if only for this reason. OLED Screen conveniently displays device speed and the force being applied so you can personalize your treatment and enjoy the pressure and speed that feels best for your body They do offer a 2-year warranty for it (which is one more year than what you get with the Elite or Prime). For instance, once connected via Bluetooth, the app can recommend the type of grip and attachment type and dictate the pressure applied for every part of the body. Therabody App offers guided routines and allows you to set custom speeds.

To turn off the Theragun mini, firmly press and hold the power/speed button until the device shuts off. Theragun Elite on the other hand felt somewhat more reliable in our hands. With 40lbs. of stall force, it’s not the best, but the long stroke length is finally justified. While not the best, the ample stroke length finally feels justified. An additional 10 lbs. of pressure can make a significant difference in the results when compared to the Theragun Prime. In our Elite review we still decry the Elite’s stall force given its hefty price. However, it’s still slightly harder to stall compared to the Prime. Therabody claims this massage gun is 20% quieter. I measured an average range between 52 and 62 decibels, an improvement over the previous model's 77 decibels.Great devices but comparing to their best alternatives, they don’t offer great value for money. Not anymore. If it comes down to portability for when you’re on the move (hiking, biking, or kayaking for a few days), the mini is the better option because it’s smaller, lighter and now also USB-C enabled.
