I don’t think he has treated Thalia very nicely once she was his wife, he’s too intent on keeping secrets.

Being a woman you’re weak and your opinion doesn’t really matter because you’re stupid and can’t understand. Thalia has not had a great life at all and oh my gosh to say he father is a horrible person is a understatement. This has inspired me to go and reread Rafael and Isa’s story bc I miss him lol (beaut in lies series).As a woman, she needed my acceptance and my love, and with it the ability to the the woman she was born to be. Just because he can’t be with her, doesn’t mean he’s not protecting her or watching over her best he can. They throbbed in tune with the vibrations, an ache spreading up my wrists and to my elbows as I raised it again. I was fuming and my heart broke for her but I could see her learning the things that would help her survive the life she is in and her step mother was just as horrible as he dad.

This does have some great twists and continues in the second book, though I wouldn't necessarily say this is a “cliffhanger”- we have a clean stop and nothing too drastic, which I appreciated it.Good idea, cause seeing your own mother getting beheaded by your father's hand for cheating when you were only 7 wouldn't traumatize you at all.
