Recently, though, I've found it to be a little lacking in depth and maturity, so I changed my scent.

And although my likings are quite different now, I'm still in love with my memory of the "Deep Red" years!

I have a particular sensation that everything is burning in a cool, refrigerating way, if that can make any sense. Only reviews that feature the label "Verified Review" have been checked to ensure that the author actually used or purchased the product.

I think this is suitable for all year round wear and would make anyone feel especially wonderful when wearing it. Edit: Today I layered it with TBS raspberry body butter, it smelled much better and lasted 10+ hours on skin. A favourite of mine when I was younger, it would be nice to have a lighter version or slightly more sophisticated version for ladies not in their teens or twenties.Orange and blackcurrant are intense in the beginning, later it settles down to spicy smokey ginger and sandalwood combination. This is a very easy to recognize scent - it might be because all of the notes in this don't quite mix together, but are easy to smell individually.

This is honestly what I thought Dior's Hypnotic Poison would smell like: murky, dark, and seductive in all of this almost red wine like smell. When I first spray this on, I get the impression that it won't last very long because it does have a watered-down quality when it's wet. This is somewhat unique, sweet and citrusy but I think it's the ginger which gives it a different, deeper edge.Deep Red was very popular here when I was a teen, when it was still kind of new and the clumsy matte bottle seemed modern and cool.

It may seem a little outdated by today's standards but i think it is just a more "in your face" kind of sultry and naughty scent. This is the kind of going out scent I've been yearning for, where it's unique enough to be non generic but so well done that it feels so natural and inoffensive to anyone that smells you.

However, when I sniff inside the cap of the bottle, I get some strong citrus in the works - As a side note, Im new to frags so have yet develop the skill of discerning certain accords! I would have purchased this bottle even if only gave me 4 hours because it’s a scent profile I think I would’ve enjoyed for the life of the bottle, I don’t think I would’ve repurchased it though. This popular women's perfume is luxury in a bottle – a ladies perfume that is sure to get you noticed. In the early 2000s someone offered me a bottle of Deep Red because they didn't like it and it immediately became favourite.
