I was hoping for a little more groveling, but at the same time, I understand where the MCs are coming from. I feel like Dom could’ve groveled a little bit more, but Ále was just like me and took him back, so I can’t be too too mad at her because same. At times I couldn’t imagine how this book would end up in a good way, and my hears almost couldn’t take it.

Firstly I absolutely loved the characters in this book and enjoyed getting to know them throughout the book. They make them at the dinner table, or in a meeting room, where personal history, your own unique view of the world, ego, pride, marketing, and odd incentives are scrambled together. Now Caine delves into the real stories behind the gangs we think we know so well, revealing the hidden realities behind the myths.He needed to relearn how to enjoy what he already had, and it took time, but if anything, Dom was determined, and it was clear in the way he put everything aside just to get Ale back.
If you’ve read the other books, you’ll know that Dominic and Alessandra have been married for about ten years, and while their initial whirlwind romance could’ve been the premise for their own book, their relationship has been stilted for some time now.
If you are not, then it can be a good book to pass the time if you don’t have any good romance to read, which is rarely the case. I prefer when different times are represented in different parts, maybe by creating separate sections for them such as Part 1: Past and Part 2: Present. They made a wonderful couple so it was nice to see them try to mend their issues and grow closer again. I also wasn’t a fan of the time jumps, past, present, future, it doesn’t matter, I prefer them to be taken into parts rather than interrupting the flow of the story. Her books have been sold to over two dozen foreign publishers for translation and featured in outlets such as NPR, Cosmopolitan, Financial Times, and Glamour UK.
