Interestingly it takes EQ better than blons, blons become very boomy (on the other hand I don’t need to boost bass in bl03). This charging process takes around an hour which will give you an audio play time or around 10 hours, or a 100+ hour standby time.

Sometimes a new paint job is all it takes for a fresh launch and this is exactly what the new Aurora is all about. It is bottlenecked at the technicalities aspect and in the bass quality area, but I feel it would otherwise make a fine addition for those who are new to this hobby or those who want a laid back tuning that is different from the usual budget CHIFI fare. Inside, the box, we have the earpieces resting in a black plastic tray with the rest of the kit hiding underneath.

The sub-bass is improved over the KS2 stable-mate with a bit faster attack and decay and improved detail as a result. Therefore I think this is probably the weakest part of the Storm, not for its lack of bass but more so the execution of such is its issue.

Don’t get me wrong, it’s not on par with Fiio fh5 or fd5 cables, but it’s no comparison to blon’s cable. Aurora does really well for those who want a more technical sound with more focus on detail, where Falcon Pro is more romantic, and better for those who appreciate a warmer sound with less focus on the technical aspect. The treble speed is quick, but has a somewhat wet character, so the treble is harshness free and sibilance free at the same time. Treble could use a bit less of the 8 khz spike with a slight rise of the upper trebles but that is just my subjective take on how KBEAR has tuned these.The lower mids are obscured not only due to the V shaped tuning but because of the midbass bleed from the copious bass. Here, all elements play well together and generate a pleasant and well-staged sonic experience – but with the limitations as described above. I wasn’t a huge fan of the KS2 and honestly wasn’t expecting the KS1 to fare a lot better considering it was “a KS2 with the BA deleted”.

The new Aurora before you ask is a new color but with the same tuning of the previous chrome version.Guitar growl is good with nice texture and good tonality but strings lack a bit of energy needed in that same region to be fully realized. weighs 14G and is designed to go behind your neck, the in-line user control is located on the right-hand side and on the left is where the in-built enclosed battery is located. Overall I would list the KS1 as does not require an amp, but will benefit from at least a step up from phone /tablet to dongle. They are relatively upfront, mainly in the upper-mids/lower-highs range, while the lower mids are a bit toned down.
