And, Im guessing illumination supply is a good place to buy? I hear good things about them. You can PM me if its not ok to talk about vendors here.

Expanded compatibility to support 3.7V and 4.35V batteries allows you to charge a host of batteries with a single charger. Compatible with 1.2V, 3.7V, 4.2V and 4.35V. By simple operation with the V button, it is easy to set the charging voltage in each slot independently. The i2 2014 similarly has a good CC/CV charging algorithm. While the charging current is not as high as the i4 2014 in the CC phase, it doesn't seem to drop off as rapidly in the CV phase (although that could be a bit of battery variability). Again, the current run above seems the most representative of what you can expect for this unit (i.e., it takes longer to fully charge an 18650 than the i4). Termination level is again good. On Li-ions, overall performance seems similar to the early versions, with a good CC/CV-like algorithm (and with a nice and low charging rate at termination). When you insert a battery into the charger, the three yellow lights over the bay indicate the charging status by the number of flashing LEDs (counting from the bottom up). Three solid LEDs means the battery is fully charged and the unit has stopped charging (in theory – scroll down for a discussion on NiMH).You can trust Nitecore to deliver a safe, fast, and efficient charge to all your rechargeable batteries, but for Vapers, Nitecore is definitely the right choice. ( not to mention their new battery!) So, right to the point....... Just bought a new toy, the TK75vnKT, and still need to get batts and maybe a new charger. In fact, since I already have the light in hand, i am just DYING to try it. Again, due to the lower charging current per channel, the i2 will take longer than the i4 to charge NiMH batteries. For me, the biggest improvement of the new Nitecore i4 is the 100% acceleration of the charging time. My older i4 has a maximum output of 750mA, the new i4 is a full 1500mA. That means that batteries charge up twice as fast as the older model. This is a huge deal for Vapers that have a lot of batteries in play. But there are certainly better dedicated NiMH chargers out there. And the Li-ion charger market has expanded a lot in recent years too. There are now more sophisticated chargers that cost more but offer significant additional features (e.g., the option to set the max charge current, or read out battery voltage during charging). If you need a dedicated Li-ion-only charger, you may want to consider investing a bit more for an expanded feature set. But if you want combined Li-ion/NiMH support (and at a reasonable price), the i4 and i2 seem to continue to fit the bill.

Note the above is what the manufacturer reports for the chargers – scroll down to see my actual review findings. :wave:As before, the cabling and overall build of the units seem good (i.e., good length on the cables, solid base unit). From the underside of the board we can immediately see that they're different boards. This in itself isn't hugely unusual, manufacturers do make occasional changes however given how close together these were supposedly manufactured, it's an unlikely coincidence. As mentioned above, the quality of the soldering is very poor. It's functional, but not as tidy as you would expect. Apologies for the delay! Its been a busy week and I've been keen to get on this but the needs of the business must come before the explanation of a competitors failings!

NitecoreIntellicharger i4 is a smart and universal charger that can charge several types or rechargeable batteries. Compatible with 18650 vaping mod batteries. Also compatible with 26650, 22650, 22500, 21700, 20700, 18500, 18490, 17670, 17500, 18350, 16340, 14500, 10440, AA, AAA, and C type rechargeable cells.TIP. There are three yellow lights located over each charging bay, and a blue power indicator at the top right hand side of the unit (lights up when AC/DC power is supplied). As with all chargers, your cells will slowly drain if left in the unit without power. I measured the at-rest drain (when not connected to AC power) on the i2 2014 as 1.4mA for Li-ion, and 0.06mA for NiMH. For the i4 2014, I measured 0.77mA on Li-ion, and 0.15mA on NiMH. Flipping over to the topside of the board, we are presented with more differences. Every single component is different. Even though the capacitors on the board on the non-genuine charger have Nitecore wraps on them and are the same (purportedly, basing this on the wrap only) rating/values, they're not the same components underneath which leads me to think that the counterfeiting goes down to component level too. The first thing that caught my eye was the low voltage input power side of the board. The genuine charger uses a single 1500uF capacity next to the transformer. The non-genuine one uses two 470uF ones instead. The transformer itself is different too. While the fake one doesn't have the previously seen "NITECOKE" wrap, it's marking is on the wrong side and its notably smaller. I've not stripped it further as there's no real need.
