I’ve never seen a fourteen-year old act like this, this is a terrible representation of teenagers, y’all should be ashamed! Ultimately, Georgia realises she does not need to change her appearance, as Robbie likes her the way she is. Practically Different Generations: Georgia and Libby, as there is a 12-year age difference between them (at the start of the books, Georgia is 14 years old and Libby two.) Easily Forgiven: Jas and Georgia have a falling out in almost every book, but they always end up making up in a few hours or less, or at longest a few days. Also, Dave and Georgia are virtually unable to not forgive the other for anything. Dramatic Irony: What is blatantly obvious to the reader is often unfathomable to Georgia. A prime example would be her constant complaining about her mother — her clothes, her attitude, the way she acts around her friends — when it's obvious to the reader that Georgia is a carbon copy of her mum.

Ship Sinking: Anyone who shipped Georgia/Robbie had their ship capsized when she chose Masimo over him. Also, the extreme minority of fans who shipped Georgia/Masimo would've had their ship sunk when he left for London at the end of ATMBISBM. Unresolved Sexual Tension: A lot throughout the series with Georgia and her love interests. Also, possibly the reason why she and Dave keep having "accidental" snogs. Bob moves to New Zealand after receiving a promotion, while the rest of the family stays in England. During his absence, Connie hires a handsome interior decorator, Jem, to redo the living room, and begins to spend increasingly longer periods of time with him, prompting Georgia to worry about the state of her parents' marriage. I have a three-year-old sister who may have peed somewhere in my room. I miss my sister. She was supposed to come home today but apparently it's Sunday. Stupid independence shit.

After not hearing from Robbie in a while, Georgia is heartbroken. She decides to make Robbie jealous, hoping he will realise his feelings for her. She invites Robbie's best friend, Dave, to a concert by Robbie's band, the Stiff Dylans. Seeing Georgia and Dave dancing and laughing, Robbie tries to talk to her but is stopped by Lindsay. I was speechless. What is the right answer to that question? I tell you what the right answer is... a lie, that's the right answer. So I said, "I've just come out of a heavy thing and I'm giving myself a bit of space." Maybe Magic, Maybe Mundane: In the first book, the Bummer Twins hold a "seance" that seemingly falls flat. For a while afterwards, Georgia thinks she can hear noises or see things, and isn't sure whether she imagined it. Third-Option Love Interest: Dave the Laugh throughout most of the novel when Georgia is chasing after either Robbie or Masimo, but snogging him on the side.
