Pityrosporum Folliculitis/Malassezia folliculitis or simply known as Fungal Acne is a persistent acne-like condition that commonly responds poorly to traditional acne-treating methods. Unlike most cases of Acne where bacteria is the culprit, Fungi is the culprit of Fungal Acne (Hence the name!). There are certain classes & groups of ingredients that have been shown to promote and feed the growth of the Fungal Acne, Fungi such as fatty acids, oils, esters, polysorbates and fermented ingredients.

EPITHELIALE A.H ULTRA Soothing Repairing* Cream is used on all weakened skin following superficial dermatological procedures and superficial epidermal conditions that can leave cutaneous marks. There's still a lot of support for avoiding parabens following the better safe than sorry route. If you do we completely support you! These alcohols should never be used alone on your skin, but combined with other cosmetic ingredients, they are normally without issue. However some sulfates are so good at their job, they can wash off your skin’s own natural oils that keep it moisturised and protected which can lead to dryness and irritation.

What-it-does: emollient, viscosity controlling, emulsifying, emulsion stabilising, surfactant/cleansing| Irritancy: 1 Apply A-Derma Epitheliale A.H. Ultra Soothing Repairing Cream once or twice a day to the affected areas. Massage gently to distribute the product and promote its full absorption. Alcohol ingredients are widely used in cosmetics and come in different types. For the most part alcohols are not problematic at all. The unfancy name for it is lye. It’s a solid white stuff that’s very alkaline and used in small amounts to adjust the pH of the product and make it just right. A fatty acid that can be found naturally in the skin. It can make the skin feel nice and smooth in moisturizers (emollient) or it can act as a foam building cleansing agent in cleansers.

A fatty acid that can be found naturally in the skin. In fact, it's the most common saturated fatty acidfound in animals and plants. As for skincare, it makes the skin silky smooth, creates a subtle gloss and forms a protective barrier (aka occlusive). Also, works well to fill in fine lines and wrinkles and give skin a plump look (of course that is only temporary, but still, it'snice). There are also scar treatment gels out there using dimethicone as their base ingredient. It helps to soften scars and increase their elasticity. It’s the - sodium form - cousin of the famous NMF, hyaluronic acid(HA). If HA does not tell you anything we have a super detailed, geeky explanation about it here. The TL; DR version of HA is that it's a huge polymer (big molecule from repeated subunits) found in the skin that acts as a sponge helping the skin to hold onto water, being plump and elastic. HA is famous for its crazy water holding capacity as it can bind up to 1000 times its own weight in water.

It's the salt form of famous humectant and natural moisturizing factor, hyaluronic acid. It can bind huge amounts of water and it's pretty much the current IT-moisturizer. As a result, please note this is only an experimental label that can be best used to possible identify problematic products you have used in the past. It is in no way a perfect identifier nor a predictor in whether or not it will exacerbate or cause fungal acne. It will continue to be worked on as more information and research comes to light. An Ecocert-approved, natural preservative that counts as gentle and non-irritating to the skin. Usually, it comes to the formula as part of a preservative blend as it's not enough on its own. what‑it‑does WATER (AQUA) CAPRYLIC/CAPRIC TRIGLYCERIDE GLYCERIN BUTYROSPERMUM PARKII (SHEA) BUTTER (BUTYROSPERMUM PARKII BUTTER) DIMETHICONE CETEARYL ALCOHOL GLYCERYL STEARATE PALMITIC ACID STEARIC ACID SODIUM HYALURONATE AVENA SATIVA (OAT) LEAF/STEM EXTRACT (AVENA SATIVA LEAF/STEM EXTRACT)* ALANYL GLUTAMINE UNCARIA TOMENTOSA EXTRACT BATYL ALCOHOL BENZOIC ACID CAPRYLYL GLYCOL CETEARYL GLUCOSIDE DIMETHICONOL POLYACRYLATE-13 POLYISOBUTENE POLYSORBATE 20 PROPYLENE GLYCOL SODIUM HYDROXIDE SORBITAN ISOSTEARATE TOCOPHERYL ACETATE XANTHAN GUM Also-called: Glycerol | What-it-does: skin-identical ingredient, moisturizer/humectant| Irritancy: 0
