He is an actor and producer, known for Malignant (2021), Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters (2013) and Supernatural (2005). Perhaps because it is written as a children's book, some of the symbols and allusions were written to be extra obvious, but I think a lighter (not as in comedic, but as in deft) touch would have worked better. He didn't want to hurt Gemma, he didn't want to touch her and torture her, but he kidnapped her and kept her in the middle of nowhere with him and that's definitely not okay. Months when the lines between love and obsession, and love and dependency, blur until they don’t exist—almost.Isla thinks that is she could help the lost swan to fly and lead her back to her flock, everything will be good again. He obviously had a problem, I understand and accept that what he did was WRONG but he always respected her even if he didn’t respect her freedom. The book Flyaway was an amazing short read, and I would recommend it to anyone who likes true emotion in a book. It's described so vividly that I almost believed it could be sat outside in my own tiny fish pond, bobbing for goldfish and tormenting the frogs. That place is not alive but Ty tries to make her see the beauty of his world and the beauty of nature.

I hated some of the moments in this book- could not even begin to imagine myself feeling even the slightest bit of empathy for certain characters. The shortlisted children's books – only once the winner of the overall prize – are Lucy Christopher, a graduate of the Bath Spa university creative writing MA course, for Flyaway. i know this book isnt everyones cup of tea, but no matter how many times i read this, i am always captivated by the story, the characters, the setting. I saw how the author tried to make him somewhat attractive and worthy of compassion, but for me Ty remained a creep from the beginning till the very end.Right around the time Gemma realizes she has some kind of feelings for Ty, something bad happens She gets bit by a poisonous snake and Ty has to take her for help. She's supportive when her family needs her, she's encouraging to her sick father, and she's the anchor that ensures Harry keeps hold of the cheeky sparkle in his eyes.

Some of the narrative focused on Isla’s dreams, and the number of them got to be a bit much for me, but that’s a fairly small quip for an otherwise lovely novel. There were times when I hated him for taking Gemma against her will, but when Gemma found out that she loved him, it was like I was falling for him right along with her. It reads a little long in places, but I think that may have been my deadlines speaking more than the book’s shortfall. Stolen was surprisingly a very clean book, as in there was nothing physical between the characters, that’s why it was YA.I’ve always been fascinated by wild Australian land and, when younger, my favourite memories are of camping in the bush and exploring the overgrown creek at the back of our first Melbourne house.

How can you recover from a book that rips your heart out, destroys it, that it doesn't even feel like it ever belonged there in the first place?But then again, sometimes the open ended ending really is the best, because you are always rooting for the patient to pull through and for the romance to continue, but as Lurlene McDaniel has proved, there is just something about death that can also make a perfect ending, because it is sad, beautiful, and reflects reality.
