About this deal

Discover our fantastic range of sandpits at Robert Dyas from sand and water pits to traditional wooden sandpits.

Perfect for playing in the garden, there is an internal lining to help prevent weeds getting through, and a large storage area that can be filled with sand, toys or anything else you choose. You can use the two apple shaped plastic containers together or separately, which makes it easy to create a paddling pool and sandpit experience for little ones. Anyway, the posted finished projects look great, and like a few others, I'm making my sides 2" X 8" for more stability as I will be moving it to their home after building it. Bringing all the fun of the beach to your home in the form of a sandpit has always been a great way to keep young children entertained.

Our sandpit range also includes sand and water pits, perfect for those warmer days when they may need a cool down.

Many of our sandpits are available with covers to shelter your little explorers from the harsh UV rays, letting them play as safely as possible. Not only are wooden sandpits a great addition to your outdoor space, they are also perfect for developing your child’s motor skills. Cleverly designed, the bench seats fold out to form a protective cover - ideal for keeping animals out and ensuring the sand inside is free from garden debris. If you're on the lookouts for sandpits that toddlers will love, the deAO Sand and Water Table could be for you. A note from now-on: "finish" your wood for outdoor projects first, that way the elements can't make their way into the wood that isn't "finished"!Anyone using the information provided by Kidadl does so at their own risk and we can not accept liability if things go wrong.

You can cut the boards however you want, there aren't any particular reasons you need a compound miter saw. Before you get building, please take a second to read through our Outdoor Wood Finishing Secrets - there's also information on selecting wood - so that you sandbox lasts through all your children. Robert Dyas Holdings Limited T/A Robert Dyas is an appointed representative of Product Partnerships Limited which is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FRN 626349).

The thing is that it doesn't create a tight seal when you put the lid down (don't get me wrong, it's not big! With regular raking and appropriate drainage, you should be able to keep your sandpit clean and in tip-top condition.

Thank you for posting this--your plans are awesome and I can't wait to make my own for my little girl. So the posts for the tower are inside the sandbox in each of the four corners with two of the corners having a support cross beam that crosses the corners infront of the posts. Ive never really done a wood project before but I would like this to be 6ft x 6ft rather than the 4ftx4ft i think it is since I have my 2 kids and then their 3 cousins who come to play. The only comments I wanted to share are that you should consider a middle support under the bench plank in Step 2. In fact, my favorite time to play in it was first thing in the morning, while it was still wet from the dew but before it had dried out completely.Small enough to take up minimal space in the garden, this simple yet fun sandpit is great for toddlers and young children to use. If your child is more of a hippopotamus fan than a turtle lover, they are sure to love this adorable hippo sand pit. There are endless games that can be made with a sandpit, from finding items in the sand for younger explorers to building sandcastles of different shapes and sizes.
