It is a while since Peanut, Rockwell and Little Bit have been through the portal to Chroma, but recently more post-its with her missing Dad's handwriting on have been appearing in her lunch box and important works of art have been disintegrating in some of the world's most illustrious galleries.

An action-packed mission to the heart of the magical Illustrated City tests friendships and leads to a final showdown that makes Peanut question everything she thought she knew. You can have a short read and feel good, or you can read loads of chapters and get a real sense of achievement.

After all, at the conclusion of their first visit to Chroma, Peanut’s aware of a startling fact about Mr White and is identity. Wie im ersten Teil merkt man auch wieder das hohe Maß an Kreativität, was in die Geschichte eingeflossen ist.

Beides zusammen macht einfach Spaß und aus diesem Buch mal wieder ein kleines Meisterwerk, wie ich es auch schon bei Band 1 genauso empfunden habe. White und so langsam beschleicht sie das Gefühl, dass das mysteriöse Verschwinden unbezahlbarer Kunstwerke aus allen möglichen Museen (sie zerfallen einfach zu Staub) auf dessen Kappe geht.Peanut Jones muss man einfach gern haben und so sind uns die Protagonistin, ebenso wie ihre kleine Schwester Little-Bit und ihr Freund Rockwell ans Herz gewachsen. Pan Macmillan) Peanut’s exit from Chroma, with Little Bit and Rockwell, was without Little Tail, the seemingly magical pencil that enabled the journey that became Peanut Jones and the Illustrated City. Dieser Band 2 schließt nahtlos an Band 1 an und ich empfehle dringend, beide in der richtigen Reihenfolge zu lesen. I love lots about this series, but my big issue with it is that the girls are just so mean to Rockwell. Das ist so wundervoll, zumal die Zeichnungen in schwarz-weiß-grau-orange wieder mal echte Hingucker sind und mich die Geschichte gleich nochmal so intensiv erleben lassen.
