Excellent writing and highly, HIGHLY recommended if you're looking for a book that is many things all at once, as no single genre can confine this novel. It's not always comfortable reading, you won't always agree with Maria's thoughts and actions but I can guarantee that you will remember her and the reasons for her self-destruct approach to relationships and in the end you WILL love her and be rooting for her to find happiness.It's blatantly obvious with her bad disposition and penchant for swearing ever since she was 10 years old. I've been a huge fan of Louise Beech's work since reading her debut "How To Be Brave", but in "Maria In The Moon" she's outdone herself.
