Fortunately, House of the Dragonexceeded expectations with a very strong first season that focused on its characters and the changing dynamics between them as the game of thrones is played within the Targaryen dynasty. As is often the case with HBO shows, it premieres simultaneously with the US, so while it’s on at 9pm on Sunday there, that equates to 2am UK time on Monday, and that’s when you’ll find it on Sky Atlantic, as well as at 9pm that evening. There’s also an irony as the show features more of the ‘game of thrones’ than Game of Thronesdid as multiple characters plot, lie and manipulate for more power and a chance to sit on the famed Iron Throne.part of Daemon (there's some rather interesting subtext with regard to this uncle and niece which adds to the drama).
