It was interesting to see the interaction of stress, diet, lifestyle, forgiveness, meditation, placebos etc on the body.This is an important book, and one that will challenge those dismissive of efforts to investigate how our thoughts, emotions and beliefs might directly influence our physical wellbeing… intriguing and trailblazing. While he’s a scientist, he acknowledges that the scientific approach, with its orientation to statistics, control, and numbers, isn’t the best way to study spontaneous healing. First I think I need to make it clear that I read this book because I find the subject matter interesting, not because I have been given a diagnosis of incurable breast cancer. Rediger digs down to the root causes of illness, showing how to create an environment that sets the stage for healing.
