About this deal

Dill's creative partnership with Guggenheim dates back to 2012, when she produced films, "The Dream Is Now," "Teach," and "He Named Me Malala.

Depressed, Pink thinks about his wife and fantasizes about committing violence against her (" Don't Leave Me Now"). On June 3rd, 2017, Alex Honnold became the first person to free solo Yosemite's El Capitan—to scale the wall without rope, a partner, or any protective gear—completing what was described as "the greatest feat of pure rock climbing in the history of the sport" ( National Geographic) and "one of the great athletic feats of any kind, ever" ( New York Times). He has garnered numerous awards shooting on assignment for publications, including The New York Times Magazine, Vanity Fair and Outside Magazine, and has directed commercial work for a wide range of clients, including Apple, Chase, Pirelli and The North Face.As well as being more flexible, repeated replay of magnetic tape can, over time, reduce the quality of the recorded material. It seems plausible that the artist was inspired by the stadium's appearance in 1977 and its inclined tower which was completed only at a third of its projected (and present) height, reminiscent of the many "towers" pictured in the artist's stadium.

In the years after the expedition to Chad, I started the Honnold Foundation, a small non-profit that was my attempt to do something positive in the world. As long as everyone does their best to respect the areas in which they're climbing, I don't see how the growth of the sport could be a bad thing. In direct opposition to the unfortunate back cover of the book jacket, Alex is more than just an adrenaline junkie, and his life and climbs are only part of a very complex character that does start to shine through in Alone on the Wall. Award-winning filmmaker Elizabeth Chai Vasarhelyi is the director and producer of FREE SOLO, from National Geographic Documentary Films. Pink soon marries, and after more "bricks" are created through more traumas, he is preparing to complete his "wall" (" Empty Spaces").We’ll be at a party, and somebody will taunt me, “Alex, just try this beer, it’s not gonna hurt you to take a sip. There's a constant tension in climbing, and really all exploration, between pushing yourself into the unknown but trying not to push too far. Alex, although fluent in French thanks to his language teacher mother, is so very Californian, a low-key dude interested in "chicks" and gnarl adventuring, but more than that he's so casual, so matter of fact, so sincere and "down to earth" yet intentionally and naturally simple that he makes Petit seem, in the best possible way, like a pretentious clown at times, an entertainer/death-defying magician more than whatever Alex is, a California climber bro with good intentions and something gloriously wrong with his built-in fear sensor -- his prose reflects this, straightforward compound sentences with some conversational inflection, unobtrusively integrated slang, exclamation points (Tommy Caldwell excerpts make me want to read his memoir The Push soon). Whilst other professional climbers might feel pressure to say these trips were amazing, Honnold, being so famous, can pretty much tell it how it is, or at least how he sees it.
