Decide how many rounds on each different colored card that you will play, with the more rounds chosen, the longer the game. The other reason I didn’t enjoy the game as much as I would have thought is the game feels mostly like a family/children’s game. I like plenty of family games but the Pictureka! Card Game felt like a game that you should play with children since the game gets kind of dull if you only play it with adults. If you have younger children you should enjoy the game more than I did. Family and Party Fun: How to Play Pictureka!

Pictureka is an example of how board games designed for kids can be really beneficial in developing different skills. Whilst also being great fun too. To begin the game each player is dealt eight cards facedown. Each player shuffles their cards and forms four piles in front of them with two cards in each pile (cards face up). The first mission card is flipped over and the game begins. The other image is an arrow that curves to the right. This means that a player flips the tile over to the other side. Shuffle the picture cards and deal three cards to each player. Shuffle the mission cards and deal one to each player. Players hold their cards in their hand but don’t let the other players know what they have. The oldest player gets to start. The first player takes the top two cards from the picture card draw pile. Besides the Pictureka board games, Hasbro also brought a number of spin offs of Pictureka to the market like Pictureka Flipper Game, Pictureka card game, Pictureka jigsaw puzzles and even a game show for kids based on Pictureka. Balloon Monsoon - The players on the team in control run into a field of balloons one at a time; the balloons have pictures printed on them. Their job was to find balloons with a picture that fits different categories, then bring the balloon to Almeida, then a designated "pop zone" and pop the balloon before the next player can go in. Correct answers start at 80 points, still increasing by 10 with each correct answer. If you're first to find a picture that matches the mission, shout Pictureka! and point at it. You get to keep the card. Mix together the red and green cards from both games and shuffle one red pile and one green pile. Put them face down on the table.

Components

If you don’t like the original Pictureka! or don’t generally like family games, you won’t like the Pictureka! Card Game. If you really like the original Pictureka! you may get some enjoyment out of the card game. The game is really cheap online so you don’t have to risk much to try the game out. Separate the cards into piles of the same color and put them face down. Make sure each pile is well shuffled.
