Jeremy in a sense sees his mom in her but not in a weird creepy way. She is guarded too due to past traum@ and he sees right thru her walls and helps her overcome the traum@ she's dealt with and gives her the safe space she's always needed and wanted. I have to confess that I have no idea why authors like to romanticise r@pe and for anyone who has been in this terrible situation, they wouldn't wish it on their worst enemy, but everyone to their own choice. It ain't mine and I won't be reading this author again. Despite how much of a jerk Jeremy can be, he never allows Cecily to be anything other than her TRUE self. Kinks and all! To say that I'm obsessed with this series would be an understatement. There's so much to love: the college setting, the accents (I frigging love listening to books with different accents!), the alphahole males, and SO MUCH STEAM.

I love how rina makes the character start the devil and then he becomes the woman's dog, but not in an obvious and boring way And as always I am very happy and excited when we have characters from other books, Jason and Shane's Perfect Narration. My chest still hurts thinking about how he disappeared into the night without a word. Not even a note or a text.The voices fit perfectly with the characters and that's very important to me, especially teddy's voice is perfect as jeremy.

Y'all---we get some grovel! It's not as much as I would've liked, but I do love me a good grovel moment. Rina Kent's books happen in the same world, but with a slightly different timeline and therefore, many characters pop across different books. I love how NEXT LEVEL stalker Jeremy became. Is it toxic? Absolutely. Does that stop me from loving it in my romance reads? Absolutely NOT. Ces is just what Jer needs. It's not that he's cold and heartless, it's that his particular lifestyle demands him to be, he can't let his guard down, but boy does cecily make his walls come tumbling down. While I’m in love with Jeremy, I anticipated (and hoped) he’d be exactly how I thought he’d be. It’s Cecily that’s the real revelation. She’s not at all what she appears to be- in fact what many of friends assume her to be. Girl has buried parts of herself so deep, it’s going to take a true psycho to claw it out of her. I related so intensely to the vulnerable parts of this character- how she armors herself with intellect and stoicism, in caretaking for others. How she longs for something she fears she’ll never have. Her fears, her insecurities, her desperation for connection. Her heart just wants to be tethered, and it’s caused her to make mistakes and hide herself. She’s a devastatingly beautiful heroine. And I FLOVE Cecily's heart and soul so much- she’s so kind and good at her core.It’s not like he was courting me for a relationship or offering me some form of a fairy tale. It was a simple arrangement to satisfy both our needs, and I have no right to feel so hurt about it. The beginning of the book already took my breath away, I love books that start very well, that's a very positive point.

Cons: Bks100+ pgs to long & inner dialogue can get repetitive. Some events that happened i other bk were mentioned but breezed over but never explained in a way to tied them up. If i read this as a standalone itd be a plot hole when it could of been handled in a 1 sentence line to fix it. Jeremy's protectiveness towards Cecily is so beautiful to see that he takes care of her, and she takes care of him too. I had countless reactions reading this book, yes I screamed, I cried, I got angry, I smiled so much.God of Wrath by Rina Kent was a dark, spicy second-generation romance that I couldn't stop listening to and had me blushing from start to finish. Jeremy is very much like his father, and is dominant and ruthless, but also a passionate lover. His journey to HEA with Cecily is a bit unconventional, but their love story works for them, and in the end, won my heart. I’d be remiss if I didn’t miss that two of my favorite heroes show up here in the best ways as daddies. I WAS NOT READY FOR DADDY ADRIAN, SOMEONE HOLD ME. These dads bring out their own psycho muscles in ways both hella entertaining and nostalgic. We have the perfect infusion of characters we already love- and the secondary cast shows up in great ways. You’ll love some characters more, dislike others more, and have your curiosity piqued more about others. All I can say is that the rest of this series is going to be a wild ride, and I’m here for every minute of it. The way I can't get enough of these and while Killian is deff a fav and in my top 5, I gotta say I'm love with Jeremy and his level of crazy ❤️‍🔥

I like when the protagonists don't fall in love at first sight and I love to see their love being built, that's what happened with jeremy and celicy I confess that I didn't like seeing her in the beginning in love with Landon, because I knew it wasn't her, and at the end of the book I understood that it was a mechanism for her to forget something.I loved finally meeting Maya, she has a nicole / silver vibe and I loved it, I already want her book. But here’s the thing—Jeremy isn’t impulsive. I know he plots things to a fault, has a methodical character, and wouldn’t have turned murderous on me just because it was on the spur of the moment. This was my favourite in the series so far for sure. AND by far my favourite narrators as well! Their voices were perfectly cast for these characters and it was such an enjoyable experience to listen to. I was obsessed with Jeremy and Cecily the entire way through the book. I was excited to read their story from the glimpses we had gotten of the characters as individuals and how they interacted with in each other, in the previous books. Let me tell you, they did not disappoint! What can I say about Jeremy, my god so hot, I feel a connection with him as I saw him born and also his journey in his parenting book so watching him grow up is amazing. I loved his dirty mouth and seeing how much he is his father's clone. her heart is beautiful the way she takes care of her friends it was so beautiful to see how jeremy was realizing all her qualities
