About this deal
It's a tribute to Edgar Ulmer that "Detour", made for about thirty thousand dollars, still keeps an interest with new fans who discover it. According to some comments, "Detour" has not been seen in this country in quite a while, but we recall the first time we saw it when it was presented at New York's Film Forum as part of a Film Noir festival in the late eighties. The copy shown recently on TCM has a poor quality, while the print we saw at Film Forum was in better condition.
Detour Noir EDP 100ml - Arabian Luxuries
This smells 90% identical to my 2019 Layton. The opening is slightly different but the dry down is a carbon copy to my nose. The performance is incredibly good for the price.

I'm not sure about the apple in the opening I can't really identify it. It's balanced, fresh and warm, spicy, and not too sweet. Kemp, Philip (1987). Wakeman, John (ed.). I actually don't mind how it looks, it's a bit unusual and I dig it. And received Detour Noir last night. Opened it up and sprayed it and was immediately blown away how similar they are. This morning I’ve sprayed each of them in an elbow crease.

a b Herbstman, Mandel (November–December 1945). "Production Digest". Motion Picture Herald . Retrieved 18 October 2020.But I think I have to add that it still does smell GOOD. Looking at the note pyramid I feel kinda lost however, because I agree with the person a few posts below saying that it smells like apples in the beginning and then sort of becomes more of this crumbly apple cake-smell. I feel like the sillage is good but I can't say for sure, the longevity is really good for a cheaper fragrance as well. Probably 6-7h. What I found is that is I spray more than two sprays it becomes too much for me. With two sprays I can smell it throughout the whole day, but it's not too much.
