About this deal

Commentary with Vince Gilligan, Bryan Cranston, Aaron Paul, Jonathan Banks, Thomas Schnauz and Skip MacDonald - This is easily one of the funniest commentaries of the series thus far. Be warned – Jonathan Banks has a mouth in it. That decision flips a switch in Walt, exposing an ugly, manipulative and power-hungry side that’s long been simmering underneath his everyman façade. And it sets into motion a story that would constantly amaze with its audacious twists and turns and phenomenal character beats. Commentary with Vince Gilligan, Bryan Cranston, RJ Mitte, Michael Slovis and Dennis Milliken - As always, these commentaries are fun, informative and absolutely entertaining. You may hope that this commentary reveals some insider details regarding the season's teasing intro, but they don't reveal a thing. To avoid repetition, I will only list notable aspects of the subsequent commentaries. Episode 410 Extended and Alternate Scene (SD, 5 min.) - Watch the full scene of Saul informing Ted about his great aunt's death.

The Science of a Hit Show (HD, 6 min.) - Hear the series' creators describe its origins, what made it successful in the beginning and how it has evolved. There are three major results of Gus no longer being part of the picture: the DEA – including Walt's brother-in-law Hank (Dean Norris) – are pushing hard to find every known member of Gus' international operation; without a lab and distribution, Walt and Jesse must now find new methods of cooking and distributing their 99-percent pure crystal meth; and Walt's ego is out of control. If you just took down biggest meth operation in North America, wouldn't you have an inflated head as well? Episode 402 ('Thirty-Eight Snub') Commentary - With Aaron Paul, Betsy Brandt, Melissa Bernstein, Thomas Golubic, Michelle MacLaren and George Mastras. Here’s more good news: Random Space Media’s box set includes essentially the same special features as the previous Sony Blu-rays. Here’s a look at what you get, broken down disc by disc… SEASON ONE – DISC ONE Inside 'Breaking Bad' – Making of Episode 507: 'Say My Name' (1080i, 5:06, Disc 2) – Learn first-hand from the actors what made this episode so tough to shoot.Episode 410 Deleted Scene (SD, 3 min.) - Walt Jr.'s 16th birthday was a strange one. Making it more awkward is this deleted scene showing him partial family's make-shift party. Inside 'Breaking Bad' (HD, 40 min.) - The final three episode-based featurettes are included here. Also included are eight others, titled 'A Look at Season Four,' 'The Car Explosion,' 'Walt and Jesse's Fight,' 'Design of the Superlab,' 'Tour of the Superlab,' 'The Look of the Superlab,' 'Jesse's House' and 'Unanswered Questions.' Avenging Agent: Dean Norris as Hank Schrader -- A look at the character Hank Schrader and the man who played him, Dean Norris.

The first season is all about exploring whether a good man can dabble in an evil industry without going to the dark side. Can a good guy do the bad things that it requires without becoming bad himself? ' Season Two' shows the unlikely duo getting in over their heads via competing against and selling to local drug distributors. ' Season Three' shows the repercussions of working for "the man" after being their own bosses for the first two seasons. And 'Season Four' is ... something else. Gallery 1988 Art Show (HD, 3:35, Disc 1) – A slew of artist fans of the series created unique original pieces that were featured in an Albuquerque art gallery. Watch footage from the gala where members of the cast and crew, artists, locals and celebrity fans showed up. If I had thousands of dollars to spare on art, I could easily blow it on a few of those shown here. Another exemplary setting is the open desert. Be it the sandy wide open fields or the rolling shrub-covered hills, the sounds of blowing wind toss sand and twigs through the air can be heard moving from channel to channel. In this same setting, the effects of dirt bike popping around the hills also denotes a great use of all channels and imaging. Inside 'Breaking Bad' – On the Season 5 Set with Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul (1080i, 1:26, Disc 1) – Again, this is a short spoiler-free tease where the two principles beat around the bush regarding their new method of cooking. Laura Fraser Audition Footage (HD, 4:09, Disc 2) – Laura also adds to the series with her shifty character Lydia. Her SD audition footage highlights her playing a character just as strong as she does in the actual episodes.Inside 'Breaking Bad' (HD, 22 min.) - Five more episode-based featurettes are included here, each covering one of the episodes found on Disc 2. Episode 401 ('Box Cutter') Commentary - Unlike the previous seasons, the Blu-ray set for 'Season Four' contains a commentary for each of the 13 episodes. As always, these commentaries are hilarious, informative and fun. Some contain mostly on-screen talent, some are tech-heavy. No matter which, these commentaries are always worthwhile. Instead of writing something along these lines for all 13 commentaries, from here out I will simply include the talent featured in each commentary. "Box Cutter" features Vince Gilligan, Bryan Cranston, Giancarlo Esposito, Melissa Bernstein, Skip Macdonald and Diane Mercer. CULVER CITY, CALIF. (September 9, 2013) – Sony Pictures Home Entertainment cooks up a full batch on

People may slightly differ on where they rank Breaking Bad in television history, but regardless, for most of us, it’s right up at the top, among a handful of other very special series. Most importantly, on the content side, is a special disc only available with the Complete Series set. The main attraction, as it were, is the excellent documentary “No Half Measures”, filmed specifically for this set. It’s a feature-length (two hour, fifteen minute) documentary that covers the making of the final eight episodes, from start to finish. The documentary crew were truly given all access, taking us from the writers' room to the set to editing and are there for the making of all of the key scenes in the final season, including the last day of shooting for each of the main cast members. There’s a lot of emotion on display, as the cast and crew say goodbye to each other, and as a fan, it’s easy to get wrapped up in it all, as we see all the hard work these people did to make something so terrific. Episode 403 ('Open House') Commentary - With Betsy Brandt, Melissa Bernstein, Sam Catlin, Thomas Golubic and David Slade. Inside 'Breaking Bad' – Making of Episode 503: 'Hazard Pay' (1080i, 3:39, Disc 1) – Learn how the writers came up with the genius idea of Vamanos Pest. Seeing the crew in Vamanos Pest t-shirts, I totally want one. The Sets of 'Breaking Bad' (HD, 9 min.) - Take a tour of the various elaborate sets constructed for 'Season Four.'

Breaking Bad: Other Seasons

Inside 'Breaking Bad' – 'Live Free or Die' (1080i, 5:24, Disc 1) – Each of the 'Inside' featurettes that carries the title of the actual episode as a sub-title is a spoiler-filled recap of said episode. To avoid repetition, I will also refrain from explaining what's contained in these 'Inside' segments. It’s only been a couple of months since the final episode of Breaking Bad aired, but Sony have already released Breaking Bad: The Complete Series on Blu-ray. And who can blame them? This is a show that gained momentum in a huge way the last couple of years it was on air, multiplying its viewership to an incredible degree for the final eight episodes. Fans will want to revisit these episodes, while also sharing them with friends and family who have yet to see the incredible story of Walter White. Episode 407 ('Problem Dog') Commentary - With Vince Gilligan, Aaron Paul, Anna Gunn, Betsy Brandt, RJ Mitte, Peter Gould and Andrew Ortner.

No Half Measures: Creating the Final Season of Breaking Bad - An all-new, exclusive two hour documentary that chronicles the filming of the final eight episodes. Episode 410 ('Salud') Commentary - With Aaron Paul, RJ Mitte, Giancarlo Esposito, Steven Bauer, Peter Gould, Gennifer Hutchison and Michelle MacLaren. Jesse’s Journey: Aaron Paul as Jesse Pinkman – A look at the character Jesse Pinkman and the man who played him, Aaron Paul. In addition to releasing the complete set on Blu-ray, SPHE will release BREAKING BAD: THE FINAL SEASON on both Blu-ray and DVD with UltraViolet ™ on Nov. 26. The final season includes the series’ final eight episodes and is loaded with special features, including all-new featurettes, cast and crew commentaries, deleted scenes and more. Episodes include: Blood Money, Buried, Confessions, Rabid Dog, To’hajiilee, Ozymandias, GraniteState and Felina. The entire season poses one question to the audience, the same question that Walt and Jesse are asking themselves: how in the hell is this going to end well for either of them? The only reason they're still alive is because they are indispensable to Gus' business – or are they? Walter White is an exceptionally smart man. We've learned that throughout the series. But functioning on the same level of genius is Gus. Walt is to chemistry as Gus is to business. There's no doubt that Gus wants Walt and Jesse dead, but Gus also knows without a doubt that Walt wants him dead too. Kill or be killed. 'Season Four' is all about their playful game of who is going to kill whom first – only it unfolds like an intricate game of chess where the loyalties of the pieces are blurred.Gag Reel (HD, 3:17, Disc 1) – Watch the cast of the extremely dark series keeping the on-set mood light and fun in this typical gag reel. Cast Chemistry (HD, 6 min.) - This feature breaks down the relationship of Walt and Jesse from the very first episode to now. It also describes how well Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul play off one another. Featuring more than 50 hours of bonus content, including the 135 minute long documentary “No Half Measures: Creating the Final Season”, chronicling behind-the-scenes of the final season, from filming the first table read to the very last day on set and everything in between. Superlab Tour (HD, 3 min.) - Set designer Michael Flowers walks us through the superlab and explains each of the pieces of equipment used in the cook process. This featurette is rather repetitious considering there were already three other devoted to the superlab (in the Inside 'Break Bad' featurettes) and a full set tour. Inside 'Breaking Bad' – The Cast Looks Ahead (1080i, 3:49, Disc 1) – The cast discuss the new Walter White (a.k.a. Heisenberg), describe the darker changes with the new series and talk about the rise and decline of a man. More than anything, this feature is a spoiler-free tease for what's to come in season five.
