PLUS: EXPERIENCE THE ORIGINAL AVATAR REMASTERED IN STUNNING 4K AT DIGITAL RETAIL AND ON BLU-RAY DISC JUNE 20 production aspects that were originally part of the four disc release of Avatar on 1080 disc. Casey features a complete list of these under his Pandora Flora – Explore the science behind the Pandoran rainforest, including the exotic plants and bioluminescence. A civilian diving team is enlisted to search for a lost nuclear submarine and faces danger while encountering an alien aquatic species,” reads a description for The Abyss, which stars Ed Harris, Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio, and Michael Biehn, who also played Kyle Reese in Cameron’s Terminator films.

Stephen has delivered his thoughts on Walter Hill’s Streets of Fire (1984) in 4K Ultra HD from Shout! Factory. As fans will no doubt already know, this one is a real cult cinema gem, and it sounds like the 4K release is pretty fantastic, including terrific video and audio quality, as well as a great new feature-length documentary on the making of the film by Daniel Griffith’s Ballyhoo Motion Pictures. Don’t miss it. Older films (pre-digital cameras) were not always perfect. There are frames that might seem blurry by today’s focus standards even after restoration. What’s more, there are times when the director may have chosen a not-so-sharp cut of a scene just because the acting may have been better (there were limits on takes in the negative film days). But, for the most part film restorations usually offer a new experience from movies you may have watched a dozen times before. The Simul-Cam – See how the newly created Simul-Cam seamlessly integrated the virtual world with the live action camera, allowing Jake’s avatar to appear in a scene with real-world actorsCreating the Thanator – James Cameron and team reveal how the most terrifying beast in the Pandoran rain forest was brought to the screen. The Troupe – Avatar’s troupe is the Swiss Army Knife of acting, while playing dozens of roles on set, in the performance capture volume and on live-action sets, they bring life to Na’vi clans and RDA Recoms. They also play Na’vi-scale puppets on the live-action sets. Avatar: The Way of Water will be available on 4K Ultra HD Combo (4K + Blu-ray + Digital Code), Blu-ray 3D Combo (Blu-ray 3D + Blu-ray + Digital Code), Blu-ray Combo (Blu-ray + Digital Code), and DVD. Memories from Avatar (NEW) – Producer Jon Landau leads a spirited conversation with cast members, Sam Worthington, Zoë Saldana, Sigourney Weaver and Stephen Lang, recalling warm memories from production and reflecting on the extraordinary success of Avatar.

Avatar is presented in 4K UHD courtesy of Disney / Buena Vista and 20th Century Studios with an H encoded 2160p transfer in 1.78:1. While Bringing Pandora to Life – Once James Cameron completes his virtual production process, every sequence is turned over to Weta FX to bring Pandora to life – with unprecedented advancements in facial performance, environments and making CG water look real. Universal Pictures Home Entertainment has set Neil Jordan’s Marlowe for release on Blu-ray and DVD on 4/18. Again, the Digital version is now available. This title has the distinction of being star Liam Neeson’s 100th feature film. Many of James Cameron’s films remain unavailable in the Ultra HD Blu-ray format, including Aliens, Titanic, the original Terminator, and True Lies, the latter of which wasn’t even available on standard Blu-ray until the Spain release that emerged this year.

huge change in overall hues and highlights courtesy of HDR, which I personally found not to be an issue at all since the palette is so generally The same issues recurred, albeit to a slightly lesser extent, with Lee’s sophomore high frame rate effort, Gemini Man. The action scenes in this Will Smith vehicle sometimes do look pretty extraordinary in all their more fluid glory, but even these ‘made for HFR’ sequences can easily tip over into artifice. And the non-actiony parts of the movie often again feel awkward and, ironically, more ‘staged’ than they do in 24 frames a second. Both titles are expected to arrive on disc at the same time as the home video release of the sequel, Avatar: The Way of Water, which debuts in theaters in just 9 days,” he added. “We don’t have any details as to which version(s) of The Abyss this release may include, but when we’re able to confirm we’ll certainly post an update here.”Part Three – James Cameron used ground-breaking technology to merge the virtual and live-action elements of his film. Podcast, we discussed Avatar: The Way of Water , and showed the unopened 3D version of the original film. In viewing this remastered in 4K version we found our thoughts unchanged and so present that original review:

Becoming Na’vi – The Avatar cast is immersed in the culture of the indigenous Na’vi, living off the land in the Hawaiian rainforest and training in a multitude of disciplines in preparation for their roles. Freed up from the ‘Pocahontas’ storyline that was so richly plagiarised, Cameron and his writing team craft a story about family and survival, family and acceptance, family and loss, family and resolve, oh and good ole fashioned revenge. Once again, he masterfully combines the human aspect in the alien world, giving a hook on which the audience can hang their emotions – growing children, their rebellious nature, and parenting. And he spends time doing it. Early story beats are echoed in the central portion, whereby the children’s characters develop. They each have arcs, of sorts, and even though it is easy to see the breadcrumbs being laid, that masterful Cameron flair holds it all together and still delivers. Allowing the empathy and growth, expanding upon the ‘at one with nature’ aspects endear the Na’vi to us once again so that their plight becomes ours, and we hurt when they do. BURBANK, CA (May 22, 2023) – On June 20, Avatar fans have double cause for celebration as Avatar: The Way of Water makes its long-awaited debut on 4K UHD, Blu-ray 3D, Blu-ray and DVD and the original Avatar arrives for the first time on 4K UHD in High Dynamic Range to digital retailers and on Blu-ray disc. The WCG and HDR give a resonance to the colours, there is vibrancy, boldness and richness, yet there is subtly in the fades, the grades and the depth. Primaries are wonderful, it is both natural and alien. The neon brightness of the lifeforms or underwater communities is stunning, likewise computer terminals, paint and skin markings. found these live action sequences to look a little harshly digital at times. I would argue that the CGI aspects enjoy the most substantial upgrade in

Kill Bill: Vol. 1 & 2

Scoring Avatar – Composer James Horner and James Cameron discuss how Avatar’s score was grounded in the familiar while evoking a breathtaking new world to my eye in this version than in the 1080 version, something that probably reinforces the whole "blue" tonal subtext of so much of the palette. I also detail in this version when compared to the 1080 version, and there are any number of salient examples including everything from textures on some of
