Teremana Tequila is produced in its distillery in the small town of Jesus Maria in Jalisco, Mexico.DJ: “I have a very powerful tool of social media and I’ve built some trust equity with fans from all over the world. So, my thought was, I’m going to have a drink and see what happens from there…” Created in a small town in the highlands of Jalisco, our founder Dwayne Johnson worked with a Mexican family-owned distillery to build a unique home on the grounds solely for Teremana - Destilería Teremana de Agave. The finish is moderate in length and has an oaky and warming feel, with notes of caramel and vanilla. My opinion: It is worth noting that the vanilla flavor is more prominent than expected from an Añejo aged for just one year, but this should not be a deal-breaker. My education and training include a thorough knowledge of agave spirits creation from planting agaves to bottling, including distillation. My journey has seen me as an owner of sophisticated bars and renowned liquor shops, and even as a Mezcal distiller, honing the craft from scratch. Developed in association with Ken Austin and Jenna Fagnan from Tequila Avión fame, Teremana follows the Polynesian and Mexican ethos of respect for the earth and its people.
