Natura Silver offers good comfort and support and recovery whilst still remaining a good economic solution. A silver foil vapour barrier with a 200mm overlap acts as an excellent DPM (damp proof membrane) to protect your floor from moisture attached to a high-density foam core with high compressive strength. Good thermal insulation and sound impact reduction qualities, up to 19db. I'm sure it would be fine and do a job but for clarity you need to understand that this product isn't a carpet underlay. So in short I would suggest there maybe better products, which are 100% suitable, available.

Underlays aren't designed to 'level' the floor - although they do smooth over the surface. If you're laying over concrete you'll need to use Silver as it has a built in DPM. Firstly, before anything is fitted, ensure the floor is clean and free from nails or staples that could be present if it has previously been carpeted. Give the floor and sweep or vacuum to get rid of any dust and grit or anything lying on the surface that could cause bumps. Its very difficult to give advice without seeing (or hearing) the issue you have with the noise but it does sound like the subfloor (chipboard & installation) is moving when weight is applied so making the noise.
