I ran MS310s until 3 or 4 years ago, before finally replacing them with Neat Motive SX3s. The MS310 was a well respected, if budget, speaker of the '90s. They respond VERY well to thoughtful upgrades in electronics and ancillaries and if you can find them in light wood veneer their looks still draw appreciative comments that belie their age.

Looking at the numbers it seems that the MS going lower frequencies but otherwise I can’t find any direct comparison between the two.An alternative to new is to go for a different second hand speaker and that way you will be spending less and won't lose any money if you wish to re-sell. You can then compare/contrast easily in your own home environment and also with your MS 20's. The Signifer was reputedly really rather good and even today I quite hanker after a pair to try.
