About this deal

Drunk On The Darkside: Phoebe, when she gets a crap-ton of demonic powers and promptly goes on a demon murder spree. And she enjoys it. Filled with silly spells, delectable dresses, ridiculous riddles and a serious shoe problem, Witch Wars is a witch story like no other. Although if you enjoyed The Worst Witch, you'll love this too! About This Edition ISBN: Blueblood prophets have the Eye of the Goddess tattooed over their hearts, and those who win valor in battle were once given those to mark their glory and their status as Goddess-blessed. On a few occasions where demons are vanquished in this episode, the fiery vanquish effect is slightly different. Rather than the demon being engulfed in flames and exploding, we see them engulfed in flames, turning into skeletons and then exploding. A bewitching debut set in a world of domestic magic - a refreshingly small-world fantasy perfect for readers aged 9 and up.

Small ideas can resonate through everything': Poet Steven Camden introduces the books shortlisted for the CLPE Children's Poetry Prize Ilustrațiile realizate de Laura Ellen Anderson au fost extrem de bine realizate. Mi s-au părut atractive, amuzante, și mi-ar plăcea să le văd și pe cele din următoarele două volume ale seriei!! :D Enid Blyton's Malory Towers series recently received a modern upgrade, with new stories from Patrice Lawrence, Narinder Dhami, Lucy Mangan and Rebecca Westcott Smith in New Class at Malory Towers. I really loved the Witch Wars, it gave us more insight in this world (since it travelled all over the land where the witches live), but it was also just exciting. See if I could also have a hand with trying to solve the riddles (we have a map in the front of the book). Of course, I utterly failed because I just didn't know the exact inner workings of the town, but I was still trying and cheering for our characters. Sibéal Pounder is a fantasy writer of the Witch Wars and Bad Mermaids series. The Bad Mermaids was voted as a World Book Day in 2019 title and a Sunday Times Bestselling, and it was later adapted by Sony animation. Witch Wars was shortlisted for Sainsbury’s children’s Book Award and the Waterstone’s Children’s Book Prize.

In the Underworld, the gamemasters of Witch Wars, a male and a female demon, try to bring a high-level demon on the show. The male one has an athame in his hand. They promise him the powers of the witches he kills — but he will lose his powers to the gamemasters if he fails. The demon refuses, and shimmers away. The gamemasters plan to rule the Underworld with the powers so acquired. mating of Valg and Fae, said to take after the Valg while the Crochan witches took after the Fae. Ironteeth witches all share a retractable set of iron teeth and nails, and a clear eyelid for flying. As in Witch Wars, Lauren Ellen Anderson's illustrations are perfect for the story, and the outfits and adventures are as fabulous as ever. A wonderful second book that will leave the reader excited for the next book in the addictive series. Screw the Rules, I Make Them!: Despite the Magic School being enchanted so that no one can die within its walls, Gideon kills Sigmund anyway.

Witch Wars by Sibeal Pounder, Laura Ellen Anderson - Waterstones

The author points out how the girls were believed that they couldn’t do things boys did or get some jobs because they were girls. When Blanche identifies herself as a girl and does a job better than all the boys, the author prove how the girls have never been given enough credit they deserve. We soon find out that Tiga is send here for a reason, there is a Witch Wars that will start soon. A war, well, war... for the one to rule the city. I really like the idea, and while I was a bit worried it would be a full out war, it was more of a scavenger hunt with hints here and there. Of course with all the characters just dying to win, some of them will resort to very nasty tactics. The story is really great, and it really grabs you by the nose and doesn't let you go until the end. Wrigglers, wanderers, stampers and shy children... reading different stories to different listeners

After the first Valg War, the witches were gifted the Western Wastes by Brannon Galathynius. It is unclear whether the Ironteeth were excluded from this arrangement, but five hundred years later the three Ironteeth Clans united to overthrow House Crochan and take over the Witch Kingdom. Their victory was short-lived however, as the land was cursed by Rhiannon Crochan prior to her death, and became unusable for the Clans to live in. The Matrons then forced the Clans into exile, and for the next 500 years the Ironteeth would hunt the Crochans across the continent, looking for the one that could break the curse. A completely fresh and fun take on witches, Witch Wars is for anyone who likes magic, adventure, fashion or a fabulous story.”– Booktrust Thank goodness Witch Wars has evolved over the years and it isn't a fight to the death anymore. It's more a battle of wits: there are some puzzles to be solved, general weirdness to contend with, but above all, you must stay one step ahead, as not everyone plays by the rules...

Witch Glitch (Witch Wars) : Pounder, Sibéal, Anderson, Laura Witch Glitch (Witch Wars) : Pounder, Sibéal, Anderson, Laura

With an assortment of weird and wonderful neighbours banging at the door and a box of volatile magical ingredients that must be used immediately, Elsie finds out that looking after Magenta's home might not be as easy as she first thought ... does she have what it takes to be a witch for a week or will it all end in a magical disaster? Ironteeth legend has it that all witches were gifted by the Three-Faced Goddess with iron teeth and nails to keep them anchored to this world when magic threatened to pull them away. The barbed iron crown the Blueblood Matron wears is supposedly proof that the magic in the Blueblood line ran so strong that their leader needed more iron and pain to keep her tethered in this realm. The illustrations truly complements the story. They are fun, quirky and delightful and make the story even more fun. The book starts with our main character Tiga finds out she is a witch and is taken to the Ritzy City/Sinkville that apparently resides when one takes the route through a sink. Yes, a sink. Ever wonder how witches had crooked noses and warts? Why their hats are pointy? Well, guess what happens when one is pushed through a pipe at top speed. Yep, that is right. :)
