All About Me Activities are fun ways to help kids get to know themselves and express their personalities and interests. They allow them to explore their personal characteristics, from the colour of their eyes to their favourite food!

I found Chrissy Metz to be inspiring before I read her memoir. Now, I feel like she's a literal hero for anyone who simply wants to live life as they are and not accept anyone else's standards for what beautiful, strong and successful is. And she manages to be kind and humble while doing it. Her sister was the incarnation of the biggest bully ever. I was fortunate to have a wonderful big sister. It wasn’t difficult to dislike Cora, who was the worst sister ever, but was also the worst mother ever. She decided one day that she’d experienced enough of the traditional family life and left her husband and child. This lovely All About Me booklet template is perfect for giving your students the chance to get to know each other in class. A teacher shared with her class that her great-grandmother came on a boat with just a suitcase. She shared what her great-grandmother brought, then she asked the students what they would bring if they left. We visit the rooms of eight children to see what they would take, what they would leave, and why. I love This is Us and Chrissy Metz's Kate Pearson is definitely one of the reasons I tune into the show (well, I watch on Netflix). Chrissy has such a wonderful personality that made the performance of this Audiobook enjoyable and an easy 4 stars. The big but is that I really did not enjoy her "Bee Mindful" sections. Why do publishers feel that people cannot just write a memoir about their life? Why the need to turn everyone into an armchair self help guru? Encouraging children to get to know each other and understand one and other's interests is a great way to promote conversations.

Are you going to stop this mummy mummy mummy nonsense? You that’s supposed to be clever? Are you going to try and be a big girl like Alma?

Use the video below to help your class understand that everyone has their own different talents and that not everyone is the same. As well as this fantastic All About Me booklet template, we have a huge range of extra teaching materials, activities and games that you can use to support your students in getting to know one and other at the beginning of term. Chrissy Metz relates her abusive and underprivileged childhood and how hard work and perseverance made her into the inspirational figure and television superstar she is today.

I could relate to Chrissy in a lot of aspects in this book, her advice is stuff we've all heard before, but her examples of how she applied it to her own circumstances, made the book more relateable to me. Chrissy is strong and outstanding woman. As usual, I never heard about her before her book, since I am rarely watching anything. I was very happy to find out who she is, reading about her past, and her rising to be a successful person, in a larger size than our media embraces. Here is an excerpt from Galloway’s time in kindergarten (Infants 1b in Scottish ) because if you are a Janice Galloway fan YOU KNOW her techniques as a writer, and if you don’t then its really hard to explain, but its compelling and funny. Funny like when your friend is skipping down the sidewalk, but then trips, and hooo booy THAT IS funny, but then you see the huge gash in their knee welling blood all over their shinbone. That kind of funny. So Janice was one of those kids who screamed and cried the whole time during class, nap time, etc etc

In the book she explains that it isn’t about getting taller, skinnier, richer, or more successful. It’s about loving yourself and realizing that we are all great, as we are. My kids enjoy answering their questions and comparing with each other what they have written. I love that it gets them writing and thinking in a different way.these books just keep pouring down on me. well, there's worse ways to go than a book tsunami, specially if Janice Galloway is the spume: I don't remember why Trigger hit me the first time. I know he thought I'd had it coming for a while. I bet I was too loud putting away the dishes. Or I didn't put his Coca-Cola in the fridge and he wanted a cold Coke. That would usually do it." pg 28, ebook From the #1 New York Times bestselling creative team of Jamie Lee Curtis and Laura Cornell comes a timely picture book about immigration. Raising important identity issues like “Where did we come from?” and “Who are we?” This Is Me is as delightful as it is important, sure to stimulate dinner table conversation.
