A 3 in 1 all-purpose emollient, bath additive and soap substitute, it contains no fragrances, colourings, additives or preservatives and is suitable for all ages. If you have eczema, using a moisturiser regularly, even once your skin has improved, can help prevent flare-ups and reduce the need for topical corticosteroids.

If you're using Hydromol ointment as a moisturiser you can apply it as often as needed to relieve dry skin. It can be applied to any part of the body but avoid getting it in your eyes. Smooth the ointment into the skin in the direction of the hair growth. Hydromol Ointment is for general use as an emollient to moisturise and soften dry skin. It may be used instead of soap. Hydromol Ointment is particularly useful for very dry skin, for use under wet wraps or as a night treatment. Hydromol Ointment is for use with any condition in which dry skin is a feature. When using it as a bath additive, care should be taken as it will make to surface of the bath slippery.

Bath additive – Melt Hydromol Ointment in warm water in a suitable container, add mixture to the bath. Care should be taken as Hydromol Ointment will make the surface of the bath slippery. All-purpose emollient – Apply to the affected area with a smooth stroking action in the direction of hair growth. Use liberally as often as required. Ensure hands are clean before applying. GREEN Aveeno®cream100ml, 500ml (consider trial with a colloidal oatmeal cream* before Aveeno cream) Hydromol Ointment does not contain steroids. It contains emollients which helps moisturise the skin, for example glycerin, urea, and lactic acid. Can Hydromol Ointment be used on the face? For use as a bath additive: Melt Epaderm Ointment in a suitable container of hot water and and shake to mix. Ensure the mixture has cooled sufficiently before adding to the bath. Care should be taken as Epaderm Ointment will make the bath surface slippery. After bathing, gently pat the skin dry with a clean towel. Always take special care when using emollients after bathing; this may present an increased risk of slipping and falling. However, unless otherwise directed by your doctor, it's best to leave about 30 minutes between applying your moisturiser and applying creams, ointments or lotions that contain a medicine, for example steroid or antibiotic creams. If you apply the moisturiser immediately before or after applying a medicated skin product, the moisturiser could dilute the medicine and potentially make it less effective. Hydromol Ointment can be used to provide moisture for any skin condition where dry skin is a factor. It can also be used under wet wraps or as a night treatment. Hydromol Ointment is free from fragrances, colours and preservatives and is gentle enough to use on the most sensitive of skin. By smoothing and softening the skin, moisturisers like Hydromol can improve the absorption of other medicines that are applied to the skin. This is useful in conditions like eczema, because it improves the ability of other medicines, such as corticosteroid creams, to penetrate the skin and reduce inflammation.
