Description

Cat 7 over 6 only affects uplink, and only if your operator supports it on the mast. In Phone terms both are quite old now. In the settings I wondered if you can see if it does the 64QAM mentioned ? I think the mast I might connect to supports this - although have no way to know for sure before I buy this so keen to get a router that supports this if I can . The preceding specifications are theoretical values obtained by Huawei internal laboratories through tests carried out under particular conditions. For more information on the specific testing conditions, refer to the aforementioned product details. The Huawei B535 WebBox / Huawei HomeFi Plus is one of the very best 4G routers available and arguably the best sold by a UK network at the time of writing.

Typically I get between 40mbps to 120ish if speedtest.net is to be believed. Streaming seems to work ok most of the time, but only after a lot of dilly dallying. I am looking to use the MR600 with a sky box for on demand stuff . Do you know if the mr600 and or B535 work with this ? And also if it’s possible to change the MTU on them (mobile broadband side not Wi-fi)? In reply to a post by buggerlugs:Good question Barker, I don't think my local mast is 64QAM yet, the growth of 6ft high nettles inside its fenced off area makes me think no ones been to it in the last 5 years. Using LTE H-Monitor really helps with the B535, and it's frustrating that the MR600 doesn't report cell ID. No provider would be advertising speeds that high - I think what you were seeing were the router specifications not the estimated 4G speeds.I suspect the certificate error may be connected to my changing the LAN IP from 192.168.8.1 to 192.168.0.1 as that's when I first noticed the problem. Both achieve 4G+ on bands 3+20. Forcing any other combination using the MR600 interface or LTE H-Monitor proves pointless. SNR hovers around 10, RSRQ around -9, RSRP around -100 - not great! Tutustu ominaisuuksiin Avainominaisuudet As such, the WebBox won’t look out of place in most homes, and at 219 x 130 x 15mm it won’t take up too much space either. Setup The Huawei B535 - also known as the Three 4G Hub or the Huawei HomeFi Plus - is a 4G home broadband router, which, as well as being able to buy SIM-free from some stores, you can also get on contract from Three.

Ah that may explain it then. It was just something I read in another thread which I believed pertained to three. Beyond these, the most obvious alternative is fibre broadband. This is potentially faster (depending on what’s available where you are), but setup is more time consuming and typically requires an engineer visit. You also typically need a landline, which can add to the cost. Plans photos maximum, each photo's size should be less than 10MB (bmp, jpg, png, gif, and jpeg are supported) About the SSH. I don't know I just asked. My thought was to use SSH now that the WebUI didn't presented the bridgemode option.Once set up, there’s a lot to like here. The B535 WebBox can get up to 64 devices online at once, which ismore than most people should need. It’s also a match for the Three 4G Hub, the Three 5G Hub, and the likes of the 4GEE Home Router 2, as well as topping the Vodafone GigaCube 4G. In reply to a post by buggerlugs:Interestingly the MR600 is cat 6 and the B535 is cat 7, so realistically (depending on antenna quality) the B535 "should" provide a better, faster, connection. So read on to see whether the Huawei B535 is worth hanging on to (or buying in the first place) or whether you’re better off with something different. Design I have been using 4G/3G services for years as my main ISP, I used a router connected to a mifi via a long usb so I could position it on the bedroom windowsill (best signal) and keep the router, switch etc in the study in the other room and it worked perfectly for years until my Billion router broke.

Happy to answer any other questions. I don't use advanced features, so won't be able to comment on any of those I'm afraid. While I’m here, I should add that both routers work fine with Sonos multi room audio and Philips Hue wi-fi bulbs. Just writing this makes my house sound like a technology hub!In reply to a post by barker04:I’m really surprised this is so complicated - surely if a cat 6 device cannot do 64QAM then it simply can’t ?
