About this deal

Remove the 8 screws on the bottom that hold the top shell. Put the shell aside. Unplug the chord from the body to the yoke. Pop off the cap that covers the yoke mounting flange, remove the two screws, and put the yoke aside. You should be able to adapt your button changes to the LEDs using the LED mode of the ConfigTool by swapping the variables. Over on the MS Forums, about every 4th post is about somebody trying to get the honeycomb to work the way it should. At their price, I doubt that it is the most used hardware, but sure does raise a lot of issues. I want a yoke, but I am afraid of the price vs. performance issues. Finally received my HC Bravo yesterday and its glorious, but the laborious task of keybinding is upon us.

I went to the extreme. To avoid the unrealistic always-return-to-the-same-neutral-position of spring/bungee cord loaded yokes, I disconnected the pitch bungee altogether. Keep the clamp on the new bungee loose, because you’ll need to center it. Once you get the carriage centered, tighten the clamp. And start re-assembling the Alpha. I wouldn’t call it a “huge disappointment” but I do know what you mean. Some of the design decisions Honeycomb made seem questionable. I tend to tinker with and modify my stuff anyways so I didn’t mind getting in there and changing the bungee but I do agree that the stiff pitch was an issue that should have been dealt with right at the start. Take note of the position of the linear potentiometer I’ve circled above. That’s the neutral position for the pitch. Yes wait for it if nothing else for the fact that they are using Hall effect sensors vs potentiometers. High quality pots are fine and from what I understand (but have never verified) is that the original alpha uses more premium pots. HESs however allow higher resolutions and longevity. Definitely worth it.The Honeycomb Alpha Flight Controls XPC is an advanced flight simulation system compatible with Xbox Series X|S consoles. The Honeycomb Alpha Flight Controls XPC was designed and developed by pilots and aerospace engineers to provide the most realistic flight simulation experience possible. Made for simulation fans, flight students and pilots, the yoke brings aviation into the comfort of your own home. I will try to walk you through the process to get the PMDG profiles working, using the Yoke as an example:

Millions of gamers worldwide trust Turtle Beach to deliver game-changing peripherals and audio innovations. Now, Turtle Beach enters the simulation category with the Turtle Beach VelocityOne Flight for Microsoft Flight Simulator. Developed by world-class aeronautical engineers and pilots, the Turtle Beach VelocityOne Flight is a complete, inclusive flight control system for Xbox Series X|S and Windows PC, offering intuitive and realistic controls to equip all players with the ability to experience the thrill of flight. Mountable under or above desk. I've mine mounted on a 36 inch aluminum bar attached with knobs to the underside of my desk. Perfect height (almost). I loaded and activated the 747 profiles and it seems to work in the B747-400 as well as the B747-8 expansion. Rotate the roll bungee holder to one side and you’ll see a screw. Using a 4mm ball end hex wrench, you can just get in there and undo that screw. There’s another one on the other side. This will undo the clamp on the bottom that holds the pitch bungee in place. Last year, aspiring pilots experienced the joy of flying with the newest generation of Microsoft Flight Simulator. On July 27, Microsoft Flight Simulator will be opening the skies to millions of new pilots with its launch on Xbox Series X|S. For many, this marks the beginning of a journey to test their piloting skills against lifelike challenges and we want to help Xbox fans find their ideal accessories for how they want to fly. At Xbox, offering player’s choice is important to us and today we are announcing new peripherals from our licensed partners to enhance your immersive console and PC experience. The issue is not the pot itself, its their microcontroller. The current alpha yoke has only 8-bit resolution (256 steps) on both pith and roll axes. That’s way too little for 2020 standard. The case-hardened piston shafts were pitted too deep for reuse and I had no problem getting permission to take the discarded steel. I simply did the machine work during lunch and/or after my shift. Pre-set buttons are mixed bag. All seem to constantly fire their state so if mapped to a button that is repeatable I believe you would get constant inputs. That being said they are labeled for binary functions already and work great for those in nearly every aircraft. Pre-set buttons are mixed bag. Just don’t pressure them with a deadline, (give them a lot of time to do the job in). That way, they can do it between the normal machine setups that usually work with.

However, I have a basic question: If I fly/load a PMDG B747 and want to restart the sim and use a PMDG B777, do I have to load the profile(s) for the AFC and the BTQ manually, or does the simulator load the profiles automatically based on aircraft selected? The buttons work correctly, however the button LIGHTS do NOT. I can't seem to find where and how the lights are programmed for a particular push button.

For players interested in piloting with keyboards, look no further than the Razer Turret for Xbox. The Razer Turret for Xbox includes Razer Mechanical Switches, featuring optimized actuation and reset points. Every command is executed with super-fast responsiveness and precision. It’s also paired with a built-in mouse and mat, sporting the acclaimed Razer 5G Advanced Optical Sensor delivering industry-leading speed and accuracy. Was thinking of getting the Alpha... is the fact that it is using pots really a bad thing ? I though everyone praised the Alpha upon release ? And if hall effect sensors so much better, is there a particular reason they did not use them in the first version as this technology has been around for many years ? Of course, production shops do the same and in fact ALL machine shops have a base hourly rate, but in small job shops, they’ll charge for every minute it takes to acquire the material, create a print, etc., etc. There is still some resistance on the pitch axis due to mechanical drag inside the yoke mechanism. To have bit better balancing of pitch and roll axis I replaced the roll bungee with a much weaker rubber band. Is there a way that I could code it "If the NAV LED (on the BTQ) or the LNAV LED (in the aircraft) is OFF, than turn the HDG LED ON (I will be in HDG SELECT Mode)?????
