About this deal

Excellent tonality and this is not just with respect to TWS. The tonality is great in general. A hint of warmth without any emphasis on any frequencies, but also without any hint of roll off on both ends. Overall, I’d personally say the low end is tuned slightly above neutral and is well implemented; combining technical proficiency with musicality. Compared to the Echo, the ZE3000 has a brighter tonality due to its bass neutrality and more forward treble. The final has a tighter bass compared to the Echo which has more density and impact in the lows. What's impressive is that while this Final Audio sounds brighter than average as a whole, it still keeps the upper mids and highs in control. Unless you're upping to the highest volume levels, you're not often confronted with high or harsh volume peaks. Sadly, the same doesn't apply to cymbals and claps: they can be stabby.

Final Audio E3000 - Smooth Operator - Headphonesty Review: Final Audio E3000 - Smooth Operator - Headphonesty

Having said that, the ZE3000 takes a “flatter” approach doesn’t mean that it kills the bass and sounds dull. In fact, the very lower end was trimmed down and the mid-bass is still well present such that acoustic instruments are forwarded. Well, to begin with I'd like to say that I've got a plethora of audiophile grade tws earbuds with me, and also I've heard to many. When I was convinced by multiple sources that these have the widest soundstage, I was very eager to buy these. And guess what? This disappoints you in many ways. The most prominent frequency with these are the low-end frequencies. These are extremely bassy! Yeah there's a bit of soundstage, but nothing extraordinary. And when it comes to physical overview, these aren't much comfortable as their fit completely relies on the choice of tips, the buds don't cause the discomfort, but those tips do. Tried 3rd party tips as well, even the spinfit couldn't be helpful. The ZE3000 offer Bluetooth 5.2, but doesn’t support multi-point pairing, so they can’t be connected to two devices at once. Pairing them with an iPhone 13 mini meant I had to disconnect from an Android smartphone, which automatically put them in pairing mode. That’s the easiest way I’ve found of connecting to a new device. The earphones are touch-operated and fairly intuitive in terms of learning curves. Users can tap on the area where the logo is not printed on the faceplate and easily operate music replay/stop and call/end call functions. The product is returned in original condition (with brand’s/manufacturer's box, MRP tag intact, userWhen it comes to battery life, the ZE3000 can hold a maximum of 35 hours charge in the earbuds and charging case. A single charge of the earbuds delivers a very useful seven hours of playtime. The case takes a couple of hours to charge and can be topped up using a wireless Qi charging mat or a USB-C cable. Audiophile-grade performance is not to be expected for that kind of money, but such a price tag does demand a general set of features taken as a ‘quality of life’ minimum. These include some level of waterproofing, active noise cancellation, a pass-through or transparency mode, a comfortable design, a relatively balanced acoustic profile and maybe even a dedicated app. From that list, the ZE3000 offer IPX4 water resistance, Bluetooth 5.2 connectivity, AAC, SBC and AptX Adaptive codec support and a stated maximum battery life of seven hours (up to 35 hours with the case). There is no active noise cancellation or pass-through listening mode, however. When it comes to a companion app, one exists, but it is currently Japanese-only and being localised for a western audience. Final ZE3000 review: What do we like about them?

final ZE3000 Review - Prime Audio Reviews final ZE3000 Review - Prime Audio Reviews

One of the reasons headphones and earphones in India are more expensive than overseas is because of the Goods & Services Tax in India. Besides what I already said about ZE3000, beautiful tonal balance, clean, transparent, natural and relaxed sound, detailed and very well-controlled bass, mellow vocals, detailed but never harsh tremble, huge soundstage in all dimensions, holographic image, great separation and dynamics, I would add that I was hard pressed to find a flaw. Pressing and holding the right/left earpiece until a beep sound skips to the next/previous song, respectively. both waterproof performance and well-controlled sound production in the low-frequency range, makingThe Final ZE3000 set their stall out as being focused on affordable, high-quality sound. They aim to achieve this with their f-Core for Wireless drive unit, which claims ultra-low distortion for higher clarity and reduced signal noise. That’s complemented by the f-LINK Damping System that optimises the pressure within the ZE3000’s acoustic chamber, producing a natural sound and better control over low frequencies. The Sony WF-1000XM4 are the flagship TWS IEMs from Sony and demand a significantly higher price tag than the Final ZE3000. The mids have outstanding clarity, and the treble has noticeably more sparkle. Staging is very wide, even when compared to wired IEMs. Imaging is also touch more precise. Stage depth and overall smoothness of the sound are the only areas where the Sony IEMs have the upper hand. The sound of the Final Audio ZE3000 can be characterized by three aspects: a natural and clean sound with a wide soundstage.

Review: Final ZE3000 - Singular Focus - Headphonesty

Final Audio Design (typically referred to as simply “Final Audio” or even more simply as “Final”) is a bit of a weird brand in the context of the current IEM market. I’d consider them as your standard-fare “quirky Japanese company” making some oddball IEMs, but they’re also pretty much the only Japanese brand that have managed to retain some form of relevancy in the modern mainstream-ish market. Most would be familiar with Final due to their immensely popular E-series of IEMs, dynamic-driver IEMs with rather pleasant tunings that have captured the hearts of many budget-level audiophiles. Less would be familiar with their B-series, even less with the Heaven series, and only the hardcore would recognise the extremely strange Piano Forte series, Sonorous series (formally “Pandora Hope”) and the “prototype” to the E-series, the Adagio. I had a problem with the Final A4000 IEM, fit-wise previously; but the ZE3000 has a slightly smaller housing, and as such fits well. I can still feel the edges after long sessions, but all of this is well within tolerances to me. Furthermore, Final eartips are very nicely designed, providing a high level of sound isolation, so ambient noise with ZE3000 was never a problem.

The case holds an additional 28 hours of charge, coupled with the 7 hours of battery life in the IEMs. I need to charge them about once a week during regular use using the AptX Adaptive Bluetooth codec. Your mileage may vary. For the purposes of this review, the source I primarily used was the Sony ZX300 (hardware modded by Nayparm, and using MrWalkman’s ‘Midnight Plus’ free custom firmware), since this would be the use-case combination I would be most likely to employ on a regular basis. Along with the ZE3000 TWS, final released their first wireless headphones UX3000 equipped with ANC and hybrid noise canceling, an interesting exercise that blends together Japanese el It handles imaging with a precision that belies its price and the layering again surprised me with how well-executed it was. hit play. ZE3000 is compatible with a wide range of iPhone and Android devices and is easy to pair.
