About this deal

The overall quality, the improved user interface and the powerful and wide beam are the strong points of this flashlight. You can illuminate a large area (far and wide), with a compact flashlight that fits in the palm of your hand. Another great feature is that you can pair a remote control with this flashlight. Things that could be better While the Olight M2R Pro Warrior and Fenix PD36R are comparably priced and similar in output, intensity, and throw, the M2R Pro Warrior is more than twice the weight of its competitor. As a result, the PD36R is recommended as the better light. Weapon-Mounted Lights

Note: *The turbo output is measured at total run-time, including output at reduced levels due to temperature or the built-in protection mechanism. With Fenix build quality and extreme performance, PD36R is the ideal torch for Tactical Operations at the highest level, police and other emergency services use. The light is also sure to find a home with many outdoorsmen, tradesmen and home users who appreciate the finest build, technology and performance for reliable every day use. Fenix PD36R is a new breed of compact tactical flashlight with 1600 lumen output which takes advantage of the latest 21700 Li-ion battery technology to offer performance at the extreme end of what's currently available! With the new 21700 cell (supplied) having a capacity of 5000 mAh, Fenix PD36R offers blistering light output with superior run times. With all the features of the Fenix PD35 V2.0 and UC35 V2.0 torches, PD36R gives you much more performance in a slightly shorter body that's only 1mm wider! When the voltage level drops below the preset level, the flashlight is programmed to downshift to a lower brightness level until the Eco mode is reached.I think it's a shame that the capacity of the eco-mode has been increased, 30 lumens is now the minimum output. For orientation purposes or when you're indoors, this mode is too bright. I would like to have a lower (additional) mode of 5 lumens or even less, with the added advantage that the battery charge would last even longer. A 'shortcut' to activate the turbo mode would be a nice addition. Value for money? Despite the higher light output of the Olight XR9 Marauder, the Fenix LR80R is lighter in weight, more compact, produces a more focused and intense beam, has a significantly farther throw, and is less expensive. While both lights will serve their intended purpose, the LR80R is the superior choice. In Conclusion ANSI FL1 standards: The runtime is measured until the light drops to 10% of its initial output (30 seconds after turning on). This does not mean that the flashlight is not usable anymore. The last column shows how long the light actually works till it shuts off. If there is a + symbol, it means that the test was stopped at that particular point, but the light was actually still running. This happens on certain occasions, with certain drivers, firmware, or batteries. Peak beam intensity and beam distance measurements

Fenix PD36R V2.0 Rechargeable Flashlight - 1700 Lumens

A: Because the PD36R Pro is extremely compact, its heat dissipation area is limited. When the light reaches a temperature of a certain level, the light will automatically step down a few lumens to reduce the temperature due to the limitation of heat dissipation capacity, resulting in the accumulated runtime of the Turbo mode not much different from the runtime of the High mode. (For specific runtime performance, refer to the runtime graph in the manual) I measured the length at 5.74”, and the diameter at 1.09” at the head. Weight with the battery and clip came in at 6.00oz. The light IP68 water rated, which means it can survive 6.5ft of water for 30 minutes. The USB port itself is waterproof as well, so even if you don’t have the cover in place that won’t be a problem. Here are a few comparison photos with the Fenix TK20R V2, and some other lights. I compare everything to the KillzoneFlashlights.com 219b BLF-348 because it’s inexpensive and has the best tint! Conclusion What I likeLanterna va acumula multă căldură când este activată pe modul Turbo. The Fenix PD36R Pro is a pretty large upgrade over the older PD36R in nearly all metrics and is overall a well-rounded flashlight. However, I can’t help to draw on the large number of similarities to the TK20R 2.0 that I reviewed earlier this year. Same LED, Same UI, Same battery, very similar performance, Same tail cap, and same clip. Where they differ is mainly in the charging port cover, and head size. The TK20R V2 is more of a tactical purpose, where as the PD36R Pro is more EDC/General use while also being capable of tactical use. Lanterna memorează ultimul nivel de luminozitate pe modul general. Când este deschisă din nou, lanterna va porni pe nivelul de intensitate folosit anterior. In the runtime tests, the output got to points where it would rapidly fluctuate a small amount (say, 5-10% of output). The difference is enough that it would trigger my lumen logger to take a reading several times per second and eventually the flood of data would overwhelm my humble logging setup. Because of that, I had to terminate the tests before the light fully shut off, but well after it got below the ANSI 10% threshold as described below.

Solution: Replace or recharge the battery (Ensure the battery is inserted according to the manufacturer’s specifications). At 1,600 lumens, the battery, on a full charge, will last for 2 hours and 50 minutes. At this output, the PD36R has a throw of 283 meters — almost the same as the M2R Pro Warrior. The lower maximum output and intensity produce a less bright and sharply defined hotspot with more spill. Despite this, it’s still highly effective for illuminating outdoor environments. Fenix PD36R Fenix went with a Luminus SFT70 LED for the PD36R Pro. This isn’t an LED that I’ve seen much of. It’s a lot like the SFT40 – it retains the same 5050 footprint and a similar physical appearance, but it’s a quad-die LED and runs at 6V or 12V. According to Luminus, the LED is capable of producing over 3500 lumens. Being a domeless LED, it throws very well. It is 70 CRI LED. The LED is nicely centered in a medium-sized, smooth reflector. The reflector produces a clearly defined hotspot and moderate spill.Tactical lights need to be durable, reliable, and intuitive to operate. Unlike EDC lights, tactical lights tend to have brighter, more focused beams; a strobe function; and, in some cases, a strike bezel. The bezel is the ring that protects the lens against impact. In some flashlight designs, the head of the LED housing extends forward to perform the same function. A strike bezel features aggressively machined edges or cutting points, allowing you to use your light as a weapon or glass breaker in an emergency. The X9R Marauder is Olight’s brightest and most powerful flashlight. By using six Cree XHP70.2 LED lights, the X9R is capable of producing 25,000 lumens and 99,200 candelas. While it exceeds the light output of the Fenix by 7,000, its beam intensity is approximately one third that of the LR80R. This results in more flood and a less well-defined hotspot.
