TO THE WOMAN WHO WILL LOVE MY SONONE DAY… It is hard, so hard, to imagine a day where I will not be the moon, the sun and the sky to my little man. When he is sad, he calls for me. When he is scared, it’s me he wants. When he feels excited, I When you feel weary, Donna's words work through you to calm your spirit and ignite your soul. Her words have become a trusted friend and a true salve."

There will be days, my friend…. When you feel like you just can’t go on. Just keep swimming. Breathe in and breathe out and wait for the light of a new day to dawn. There will be days, my friend…. When nothing seems to be making sense. It’s not supposed to. Clear your mind and Donna's beautiful words have a way of climbing inside your very soul, her writing is wise, comforting and she has a wonderful way of making this sometimes lonely journey through midlife much less bewildering!" Love is an energy, so powerful, so all-consuming that when the person you felt all that love for is not here, you are a vessel filled with a boundless source of power that has nowhere to go.Many thanks to Netgalley, Bonnier UK Audio, and the author, for the ALC of this book in exchange for an honest review.

There are many choices available to us women in this life – but when it comes to your body, there are only two: Accept it Or don’t. You see, if you choose to accept your body, you will soon start to love it, admire it, look after it. These things all follow in the wake This poem by Rabindranath Tagore is a reflection on the narrator’s contentment with his life and gratitude to his or her friends for their companionship and support. The poem ends with a hope that they will live on after death in the memory of these friends. Whether you have a mother or not, the need will always be there. Even if you never had one, even if you don’t have any experience of that maternal love, there is a hole inside of you that perhaps, you didn’t even know you had. A woman needs her mum, this much is true. So And it will hurt like hell…. You’re going to lose people along the way People you thought you’d never lose. People you truly believed would always be there. And it’s going to hurt like hell. But that, my friend, is life People change, relationships change. Some evolve. Some disintegrate. Some people leave through no will Donna's words are just so wonderful. I find myself reaching for a Donna book most days and I dip in and out. When the mood strikes, send out all those messages and don’t feel you have to apologise for being quiet. Visit BookSleuth I don't read a lot of poetry but when I saw the title of this book it called to me as I am currently in a season of anticipatory grief. When I read the poems in this book I felt both seen and heard, and I was able to really dig into my emotions. Reading the poems because a way to release energy that just wouldn't come out otherwise. There are several poems that I flagged as instant favorites, finding comfort in the words. I didn't think anything could beat Donna Ashworths 'Love' poetry collection but boy was I wrong! This honestly had my in tears the whole time! 😭 Follow the flawed, the real, the messy. Follow the women who say it like it is, no filter, no glossing, no bull. Follow those people who accept themselves, and you, as you are. And leave the rest to edit their lives to perfection,”

I feel duty-bound to report that this book of poetry is self-published. I know this because I read a few poems and thought, wow—what press would publish this? A short religious funeral poem, ideal for a eulogy or memorial poem. A poem about loved ones finding peace with God in Heaven. Think about it, you have EARNED this face. Every line, a laugh shared. Every wrinkle, a year survived. Every age spot, a day that the sun shone on you. Some women believe that as they age, they LOSE their looks. Oh my friends how wrong this is. A beautiful young women is a happy accident To keep others warm. There was a time, I would have crossed oceans to reach people, who wouldn’t cross a stream for me.There was a time, I would try, too hard, to be seen by those, who would simply never see me.There was a time, I felt myself unworthy, of a person, who could actually You are snaking a shimmering pathway full of love and joy sincerity and kindness companionship and loyalty and you-ness all over the place and you don’t even see it.”Money is a worry this year. So please don’t fall into the trap of believing December must be all matching pyjamas, expensive soirées, perfect festive tableware and gifts galore. I believe Christmas is a feeling, not a season. An open door to a house full of love, is far more wonderful than an over-stretched host, I have read this book, along with 2 others Life and Love as a poetry collection and have reviewed them together so this review will appear duplicated for the other 2 books

waste time wisely, my friend. Time spent in rest, joy, company and kindness is never wasted. As for everything else, just do it. You won’t regret the things you tried and failed at. But you will regret a life spent waiting. Those who wait, wait. You have a life to live.” There was only one poem I felt negativity towards and it was DEATH IS A THIEF I really strongly disliked the reference to death being like a 'cancer' personally I would substitute 'cancer' with 'monster'

Your instinct for knowing what (and who) is worth your time, will grow and flourish like ivy on a castle wall.
