Keeping up tradition, Ant and Dec were once again crowned the winners in the Best Presenter category at the 2023 National Television Awards, making it 22 years in a row. The pair attended the ceremony and thanked fans in their acceptance speech. I love Ant and Dec.. this book was hilarious 🤣 Highly recommend the audiobook as they read it. The banter and the years of friendship really shine through. Speaking in a candid interview with Guardian's Weekend magazine Dec said: “It felt like a nightmare, that there’d been a mistake. ‘Of course he didn’t do that.’” Don't get me wrong, it's mildly entertaining but you won't learn much - it's like an evening with Ant and Dec, where they wheel out plenty of tried and true anecdotes you probably have heard before if you're a longtime fan - especially if you read their 2009 autobiography.

Watching” them grow up through this memoir as well as listen to their lives ups and downs anyone can relate to. Listening to Once Upon A Tyne makes you feel the lads are really just chatting to you and you only, telling you about their life and times of grown up together in the entertainment industry, I think mainly because they are not just read their book they actually speak off the cuff, elaborating on the story they are telling at the time, with Ant’s comedy timing and Dec’s hearty laugh, this audiobook brought me laugh out loud moments and tears to my eyes with heart felt emotional words between them both. But no less true. And after three decades together, we're writing that book. Covering everything from a pirate radio storyline in Byker Grove through to the biggest shows on telly, this is our story.Ant said: “Every child deserves a happy childhood – and the NSPCC rely on fundraising to ensure they can continue to be here for children and families.

You even get an accompanying PDF on audible to show all the photos discussed in each chapter. Some brilliant photos! If anyone wants a funny and just brilliant audiobook to listen to then Once Upon a Tyne is the one! Ant previously revealed his friendship with Dec started in 1990, when he sent him a Christmas card and invited him to a football match. After being out for lunch yesterday, I was feeling shattered (I have ME and Fibromyalgia) so today I decide to spend the day in bed with Ant & Dec.

As NSPCC Ambassadors for Childhood, we wanted to show our support for this fantastic charity and their vital work.” I knew I was going to love this because I've previously read Ooh! What a Lovely Pair: Our Story and was amazed by their relationship and in awe of their dedication and commitment to producing great telly and each other. From their modest beginnings in Byker Grove through to their 'unique' time as pop stars and an award-laden TV career, those three decades have flown by in the blink of an eye. They've also featured an incredible cast of supporting characters, including their first scriptwriter - (an unknown comedian called David Walliams), Saturday night fun and games with countless Hollywood A-listers and celebrities they torture - sorry, work with - every year in the jungle. Told through the lens of every TV show they've made, as well as everything they've learnt along the way, this is the riotously funny journey of two ordinary lads from Newcastle who went on to achieve extraordinary things. Oh wow.. I never thought I'll be giving a 5-star rating to a memoir. Don't get me wrong, I like reading autobiographies of interesting people but most of the time, it was always an exaggeration of the things that happened in their lives, not to mention, it was always written by someone else.

At first, Ant and Dec didn’t have many scenes together, so they didn’t get to know each other. However, that changed later in the year of 1990. They found they got more scenes together and found they had things in common, like Newcastle football club, and hanging out at shopping centres and attending gigs. Dec said: “Childhood Day next year is going to be even better and we’re thrilled that through the launch of Propa Happy we can encourage children and grown-ups across the UK to come together to fundraise on June the 10th and do their bit for children.” This audiobook is just brilliant, the PDF photo book to accompany the storytelling is a wonderful touch and the nice surprising at the end of them reading this superbly written book is what really made me laugh. Dec: but no less true. And after three decades together, we've written that book. Covering everything from a pirate radio storyline in Byker Grove through to the biggest shows on telly, this is our story.

I only buy biographies and I can honestly say this is the best one I’ve listened to so far and I’ve bought over 30. I read their first book when I was at a point in my life when I could actually focus and read a physical book, What A Lovely Pair, for all I read it I could hear the boys speaking, it was my favourite book for many years. In 2012 Ant and Dec performed with Sir Bruce Forsyth at the NTAs (the National Television Awards in the UK). Both Ant and Dec were in awe of Sir Bruce Forsyth and dancing on stage with Sir Bruce Forsyth was one today the many highlights of Ant and Dec’s career in the last 30 years. This book is about the shows that they have worked on SMTV, pop idol, BGT, I’m a celeb and their pop career. Dec: and as another Chinese proverb says, 'If you've been in a double act with your best mate for 30 years, why not write a book about all your most memorable moments in three decades of showbusiness?'ANT and Dec have announced they are releasing a new book to celebrate 30 years of working in TV together. Ant and Dec are two lads from Newcastle, UK. They became friends while starring on a children’s TV evening programme called ‘Byker Grove’, and came to hold many ‘hats’, including as popstars and TV presenters of some of the most popular UK programmes. No I'm not obsessed. It's fascinating. I mean, the bond, the love for each other, the friendship, it's unlike any other. Then I'll ask myself which one I like best, because I'll watch a clip and I'll find Dec so adorable but then the next one, Ant's puns will be so hilarious, I'll have to ask myself again. We had a heart-to-heart. I said, ‘Look, forget everything – TV, the partnership – you’ve just got to go and get well.’ But it hasn't all been smooth sailing over the last 30 years and Dec admitted he wanted to "punch and hug" Ant when he heard he had been arrested for drink-driving in 2018.
