Urine separation is the single most important factor in any composting toilet and an integral part of all our eco-toilet systems. Our story began with finding a toilet solution for our boat that was affordable, simple and looked great. After a lot of research, the options out there were either too expensive or not to our taste. The liquids are of a quality at worst equal with septic tank overflow and usually much much better. Above all the liquid has not had occasion to turn anaerobic and so is only as fragrant as it was when it left the house, and thus is ideal for open treatment systems such as vertical flow reed beds.Strong and sturdy, with an easy-to-clean shiny surface, this urine diverter is the outcome of extensive research into the most effective way of diverting urine away from the solids, for both male and female users.
