About this deal

Currently, 4 types of tapes are available for Kinesio Taping Method applications for humans and 2 types for animals. Each clinician can choose the most appropriate type of tape based on the desired outcome and the client's skin condition. When an untrained individual considers taping, it is suggested to use Classic or Performance+ Tape. Unique to Theraband, their kinesiology tape uses a visual application guide to make the application easy and accurate. These XactStretch Indicators utilize printed shapes to ensure the correct stretch amounts, typically 25 to 50 percent. They appear as hexagons and get bigger as you stretch them to the appropriate length. Additionally, included directions make it easy to apply the tape. This physio tape is available in ten color varieties, designed to support muscles and joints without limiting the range of motion. Again, the Kinesio tape is acting as a reminder to stay more upright and out of positions that can cause pain with the stretch of the tape. But what method is the best for this? Well, like with most things, it depends. But in this tutorial, I will go talk about five good ways to reinforce the shoulder seam, and when to use them.

Use narrow hem tape to hold a turned edge (that keeps trying to twist) in place as you work on topstitching or sewing on decorative embellishments Hemming tape will not work with materials that are highly elastic, waterproof, have a raised fabric or a rough surface (or with materials that can’t be ironed) Also, similar to silicon tape, Flex Seal is not meant to be a permanent solution for a leaking pipe. It will definitely stop the pipe from leaking, but eventually, you will probably have to replace the pipe at some point. For most practitioners, Kinesio tape has its place as a tool in the toolbox. It is not a way to completely solve the problem, but it can be used to speed up the recovery time. Just like anything in rehabilitation, it should not be used over a consistent time lasting all season. Kinesio tape is meant to be a temporary solution (lasting 3-5 days for single use) for athletes and patients when dealing with an acute injury – they cannot 100% rely on it to get them to their goal. Our bodies need to stress our systems; constant protection does not let us adapt and will not solve our injuries. Measure your desired hem width while building in additional fabric allowance to prevent your tape from being exposed (that extra material can be trimmed off later if necessary ). But it’s better if the additional fabric allowance is less than ⅛“ (just a few millimeters). Kinesio Tex Classic: the original tape that received several upgrades over time, the most universal as it can be used for all applications and ideally on healthy skin.

A firm stay tape is a really bad choice when sewing stretchy knits if you ask me. The woven ones are way too rigid and bulky and the fusible ones have zero stretch, which will make shoulder seam feel really odd. You do need a little stretch when working with stretchy knits, so stay away from stay tape! (pun intended). Principles for stabilising and sewing shoulder seams on knit tops Now that you know how fusible hemming tape works, I want to walk you through the process of using it. If you’ve never used hem tape before, follow these steps on how to apply it properly. It is a narrow tape, 12mm wide, that is made from 100% polyester woven interfacing (rather than non-woven) and is cut on the bias, so it has diagonal fiber orientation. This means that it’s really pliable and easy to manipulate around curves. If you want to reduce bulk in the seam allowance, but want to use a fusible interfacing, trim the interfacing down close to where the seam line will run before application. Sew In InterfacingThe elasticity in kinesiology tape dictates how much range of motion you will have when wearing it on certain parts of your body. Experts recommend a minimum elasticity rating of 160-percent, so it is easier to use and will move with your body. This is particularly important when worn during exercise to encourage proper form without limiting range of motion. Fit The only time you should consider using electrical tape or even duct tape would be to fix a very small leak that’s not under a lot of pressure.

The edge without the thread is sewn onto the raw edge of your hemline and the edge with the thread is hand sewn later. A useful tip is to bind the edge of the braid with some scrap fabric or binding for a smooth finish.Inform the patient to remove the tape if itching or burning sensation occurs or if the pain increases Insert the double-sided iron-on tape into the hem area. You want it in-between the layers of fabric without any tape poking out from above the hem.
