About this deal

There's a bitter citrus note that is not listed too, which makes the scent mandarin-like fresh, but that is really not prominent. I fell in love with it as the scent reminds me of salty sea spray on a cold, windy day, on a cliff with wild flowers. It was fresh, aquatic, floral and slightly earthy. Chloé Eau de Parfum: Chloé’s signature fragrance features notes of peony, rose, and magnolia. It has a light and airy floral profile that might evoke a similar feeling to Penhaligon’s The Favourite.

listed notes: wild berries, aquatic accord, green leaves, rose, pink pepper CO2, hawthorn, cedarwood, Clearwood TM, moss, musks Both perfumes are aquatics with the salty seawater freshness of Blasted Heath – intended for men but women also have been wearing it – underpinned by tobacco and vetiver undertones, while Blasted Bloom (for women) is a unique combination of crisp leave-y brightness with a seductive musky warmth. These are unique and complex fragrances whose appeal grows the more they are worn. Besides what I've mentioned ⤴ the other pyramid notes either make brief appearances for me or play supportive roles IF noticed at all. Some of those cameos (like when I sense the whiskey, or the tobacco) are part of a continual changing process noticed during the life of Blasted Heath. It's a trip. As opening marine overdose softens, then the fragrance becomes much better, balanced. But then again, this fragrance smells amazing right off the first spray "in air", and outside. You only get the challenging notes when smelling up close. Viktor & Rolf Flowerbomb: While not an exact dupe, Flowerbomb is a popular fragrance known for its floral and sweet notes, including rose and jasmine. It has a warm and inviting character that some users find reminiscent of Penhaligon’s The Favourite.

Price: Penhaligon’s fragrances are known for their luxury and quality, which is reflected in their higher price point.

I kept the blotter with me for a day, and I quite liked the dry down... But I need association for a perfume to get my love... So this wasn't really in my buying list. Created by Master Perfumer Olivier Cresp, Equinox Bloom plays with an olfactory palette inspired by the delights of high tea, accompanied by the heady bouquet of the first sweet Spring flowers. Delicious notes of Chantilly, Frangipani and Brown Sugar are blended with violet leaves, orange blossom absolute and jasmine sambac, rounded with the deep, Amber richness of Benzoin Siam and Ambrox. I wasn't really impressed the first time I sprayed this perfume, because I found it a bit weird, but maybe it's because I tested this along with MFK's Baccarat. Everyone knows the hype on Baccarat, and maybe it affected me too (but I ended up buying nothing after all)Penhaligons uses only the finest ingredients in their perfumes. They source ingredients from all over the world, including the rare and exotic. This attention to detail and quality is what sets Penhaligons apart from other perfume houses. From the selection of ingredients to the blending, each step in the process is carefully curated to achieve the desired result. The notes are not that complex or too much. It is a very simple, soft and calm fragrance. Just like the noble women of the Victorian Era; innocent, mild-tempered, sedate and elegant. At first, you doubt the permanence of such an elegant and simple fragrance, but from the moment you start carrying it on you, you begin to realize that it is not so silent and volatile at all. Interestingly, it stays on the skin all day and continues to make itself felt from opening to closing. Yves Saint Laurent Mon Paris: With notes of strawberry, jasmine, and patchouli, this fragrance has a sweet and floral character that could offer a different take on the floral experience. Moreover, renowned fashion moguls like Manola Blahnik have also been known to include Penhaligons fragrances in their respective wardrobes. Manolas creativity and entrepreneurial spirit lead her to be one of the most iconic shoemakers of all time. Given her exceptional taste, it comes as no surprise that her admiration for the fragrances matches the quality of her shoes. listed notes:aquatic accord, seaweed, clary sage, Clearwood TM, green leaves, tobacco, whiskey, cedarwood, gaiac wood, vetiver

Yves Rocher Quelques Notes d’Amour L’Eau de Parfum” is an affordable fragrance that shares some similarities with The Favourite. It features notes like damask rose, iris, and guaiac wood. While not an exact dupe, it offers a romantic and powdery floral experience. However, there is a dupe, and I seriously mean an (almost) EXACT duplicate of this fragrance. It took me all of four hours to remember what this was as I patiently waited for the drydown to prove me wrong in my assumption**. To accompany the launch of Blasted Bloom and Blasted Heath, Penhaligons have commissioned media group Cereal to make a film. The elemental Blasted is the Kiki Smith inspired result. Dancing playfully alongside the brown sugar; orange blossom, frangipani and jasmine provide a creamy white floral touch. Equinox Bloom is a fragrance I would recommend to young women wanting to venture away from gourmands and explore the white floral territory. Equinox Bloom is a brilliantly composed white floral without being an assault on the nose.

Houbigant Quelques Fleurs L’Original: This classic fragrance features a bouquet of various floral notes, including rose, jasmine, and violet. It has a powdery and romantic quality that might resonate with fans of Penhaligon’s The Favourite. This is a very fresh floral fragrance with a strong undercurrent of marine elements that intensify with time. It effectively supports the idea of flowers by the sea. The marine complex suggests the use of materials like Calone or Scentenal but they harmonise nicely and the effect is not too synthetic. Those who remember Faberge's New West will feel in familiar territory here, though this perfume is decidedly better. I mean, like: it freaked me out, because I still love what is left of my 212 SURF... I thought I had a fairly decent nose, but this would fool me and even the longevity is similar(EXCELLENT, by the way!)... so there you go... all in all I love this fragrance, how could I not when I love the other!

Penhaligon’s Equinox Bloom🌸 this perfume does not have a character that I find appropriate, the bottle design and smell always remind me of Jane Austin's "Pride and Prejudice" book. Pride and Prejudice is a book written at the beginning of the 19th century. Update on longevity: Blasted Heath stayed on my skin through the night and was still going strong when I woke up the following(this)morning! A solid 16hrs plus, even after my shower. This is an aquatic lovers dream. But maybe a lucid weird dream. It's definitely a unique take on marine aquatics. During one of my recent visits to London, I enjoyed an incredible brunch in a smart, refined place, where the magnificent atmosphere of the rooms, furnished with opulent floral compositions, ensnared my senses almost at once. While admiring the floral scenery, my brunch included delightful toasts topped with honey and marmalade and these gourmand facets inspired me to bring to Equinox Bloom a trendy, modern inflexion to the generous floral bouquet. To me, this luxurious and abundant refinement reflects Penhaligon´s generosity in fragrances in a perfect way." – Olivier Cresp, Perfumer. I think the major issue with this is it's complexity. Oliver Cresp is an amazing perfumer. I love his Juniper Sling and love how it switches from Juniper to Cherry and sugar. I feel that Equinox Bloom also transitions quite well in it's various stages. After 10 minutes the sweetness really does begin to develop. When looking for an affordable alternative to Penhaligon’s The Favourite, consider fragrances that share some key notes or similar characteristics. An alternative might not capture the exact complexity of the original but can offer a reminiscent experience. Here’s a potential option: Remember that each fragrance has its own unique characteristics, and while these alternatives may share some similarities with Penhaligon’s The Favourite, they won’t be exact replicas. It’s a good idea to explore sample sizes or tester bottles to try out these fragrances on your skin and see how they develop over time. Additionally, consider joining fragrance communities or seeking advice from fragrance enthusiasts for more suggestions and insights.
