Here’s the thing, I’ve read well over 200 books this year, not all of them were great, but I was HIGHLY anticipating the final book of this series for SO long and it fell ridiculously flat for me.I skimmed further and Marcus is still alive but I can’t read anymore to find when and how this story ends. after the accident, the guy becomes obsessed with the girl who was capable of saving him without knowing who he was. that's why he involves his best friends almost brothers, ryland and theo to help him protecting ayla. It's taken me way too long to finish this series because rather than wanting it to end, I've kept putting this off and re-read the first two lol. Growing up, Callie Rose always wanted to become an author and this always makes her grateful that she is living her dream. Writing is something that she always loved to do and when she was in school, she would take any opportunity to take an assignment or project into a story. One random night out at a club changed her life.. forever. She'll never be the same. She didn't have much going for her and she still doesn't.

I've been in a reverse harem binge lately and I can say that most of the other books I've read haven't held much substance in terms of plot, side characters and the main characters. I wish I could keep going since the plot was so good but my one line is monogamy in my romance books and ryland completely destroyed that. I know this was only the first book of a trilogy, and I am sure they will get their well-deserved happy end based on respect and love by book three. But I'm not sure I can go through all the journey and would rather jump directly to the happy ever after. I enjoyed this one, Ayla is a strong and fierce h, moving forward with her life despite her physical disabilityAlthough they were at the stage of being bonded through their blond, however, they are still getting to know each other and took their time in professing their feelings. Before I go on, please note there are spoilers so if you don’t want to know what happens, do not read any further. ** The twenty six year old author wrote “Savage Royals” her debut novel and first of the “Boys of Oak Park Prep” series in 2019. Since then, she has become a prolific author with more than twenty three novels across more than seven series.

o marcus ficando noivo ?????? ai fala sério. parece fanfic querendo introduzir coisa nada a ver só para ter plot surpresa. I also really appreciated the way Ayla's relationship with Theo and Ryland was especially developed in this book so that I could actually understand why she liked these guys. Even if the guys aren't together within the reverse harem, I still like it to be clear that they like each other and it's super clear that Marcus, Theo, and Ryland all have a really deep bond. I appreciated how much emotion the guys showed. I think sometimes authors of darker, bad-boy romances shy away from that but I think a show of emotion that isn't anger in front of the heroine is a great way to show trust and that the relationship is deepening. Maybe these details don’t bother other people as much, but these situations definitely contributed to my inability to get into or stay in that trance-like reading state during those steamy scenes. It seems that the odds are in favor of Marcus (or even Theo or Ryland) winning the ruthless game, but what if...what if they concede to their queen, Ayla? What if they want to follow under her rule?! And there's also Ayla's mysterious origins, too. Call it a hunch, but I won't be surprised if she ends up being Luca D’Addario's daughter or something. I remember Theo saying Luca has no children, but Ayla's age and the time of Luca's wife's death match up!

If You Like Callie Rose Books, You’ll Love…

Loved this book from the beginning but unfortunately had to stop halfway through the series once it was clear there was no commitment. I’m not writing this review to discourage anyone from reading this book because, let’s face it, if you’ve read the first two and don’t read the third.. you’re a monster. This review is honestly kind of me trying to sort out how/why I feel disappointed in the conclusion of this series. Also, maybe if I temper your expectations a little.. the book will turn out really great for you. I have never been more upset for a series to be finished, but also I’ve never been this happy. Every book in this series was pure perfection and the final one didn’t disappoint. Sweet Obsession was kind of a fantastic read but too sad to really enjoy. Even if I sometimes like my romances dark, I wanted to cry all the time.
