About this deal

The LCD display on the ZR9 is almost identical to that of the ZR8. In my opinion this can be seen as a positive as Reebok have continued to use what has been tried and tested as successful. The ZR9 the footplates are adjustable unlike the ZR8, 10 which does allow little movement should you fit into the category of being very tall or short. Reebok is a company that’s been around for decades. It was officially founded in 1958 by Jeff Foster and Joseph William but only started to become a household name in the 1980s when the brand began to specialise in workout gear and activewear.

The Reebok ZR9 comes equipped with an amazing 32 different levels of tension. This allows people of all abilities to find the right level of tension required for the optimum workout. Heart rate measurement is straightforward enough using the pulse grips sensors in the handlebars and there is even a built in recovery test function. This is effectively a fitness test and is very simple to do: once you’ve completed an exercise session on the bike, you press the recovery button on the console and grab the pulse grip sensors for 60 seconds. The computer measures the rate at which your pulse rate is returning to a resting state over the minute and uses this to calculate a fitness rating of between 1 and 7 (the lower the number the better). Whilst by no means a medically meaningful measurement, this feature will provide motivation by seeing fitness levels improve over time. The ZR9 is another great cross trainers in the Reebok family. In truth we couldn’t find a lot of difference between the ZR8 and ZR9 but this doesn’t take away from the fact that they are both great choices. It has an impressive 32 levels of resistance that lets you adjust your workout based on your needs, as well as adjustable seat and handlebars, and built-in tech that monitors your progress. With so many Fitness equipment to choose from, it’s no wonder it becomes such a confusing and time consuming process to decide on which Fitness equipment are right for you. Our best piece of advise is to spend a little time researching exactly what you’re looking for, and then spending the time to find the right one for you. Whether that be the Reebok – ZR9 Exercise Bike from or even a competitor product. A nice touch that you don’t find on many budget bikes are self-levelling pedals. This saves the annoying of having to constantly move your feet around to find the pedals after you have climbed onto the bike. We’re going to be covering the basics of this machine first (i.e. getting started and the setup process) before diving deeper into features that can impact your workout.

Scottish Highlands: AB 1-9/14/21-23/30-39/41-45/51-56, IV 1 – 56, KW 1 - 14 KA 27 – 28, PA - 20 – 39, PH 11 – 40, FK 19 – 21, Northern Ireland, Southern Ireland: Eire/Isle Of Man/Offshore Scottish Islands, Orkney and Shetland Islands, Channel Isles. If you’re doing sprints with a partner and are jumping on the unit for a minute or two burst during a HIIT workout, the dual holders will make more sense for you. Safety-First Approach A built-in cushioning system protects your joints from damage, which grows in importance the older that you are. Reebok ZR9 Review: Conclusion Stride length is very important as this is the distance that you will cover after each completed stride. A short stride length means that your legs move in a short oval, resulting in you feeling awkward and uncomfortable as you use the machine.

More about this manual

Like the rest of the ZR family, this one boasts a 9 kg flywheel, giving you an exceptionally smooth ride. Though this is not as massive as the flywheels of other exercise bikes, it’s competent enough to provide you with that much-needed stability so that you don’t experience jerky movements during the more intensive sessions. The Reebok Z-series of fitness equipment is a brand new range launched in late 2011 and is effectively replacing the successful, but low spec, I-series of machines. Users that don’t have the time or patience to make all of these adjustments on their own can switch between 16 user programmes or six functions you can program in yourself. Unfortunately, the flywheel makes noise during operation so you may have to soundproof your workout space to avoid waking up the whole house. Magnetic Resistance When we’re running, we love to listen to some music to help push the session along. The built-in speakers and MP3 connectivity make it easy to listen to your ideal workout playlist.

The motor is one of the best we’ve seen in this price range and is what you’re paying for. Reliable and near-silent, the motor is designed to run for over 10 years without an issue. But we’re really satisfied with the features offered, starting with the 2HP continuous power and peak power of 3HP.The safety key, featuring the standard red colour, can clip to your shirt or pants. Once the key is removed from the slot, the auto stop function is initiated.

Users that exceed this weight threshold may want to consider a machine that’s designed for higher maximum user weights. Reebok’s bikes are known for their 7-10 kg flywheel, LCD display with workout programmes, pulse grip handlebars, integrated wheels, and other outstanding functions.
