The robot vacuum was pleasingly quiet on both its lower power settings and its most powerful suction level, registering a maximum of 61.8dB on our decibel meter. This is the equivalent of a dishwasher mid-cycle, which is an acceptable level of noise – especially since it won’t be running for longer than 30 minutes at a time if cleaning an entire floor.
There are a lot of things to love about the eufy RoboVac G30 Verge. For starters, the G30 is a bit smaller than your average robot vacuum. It isn’t a lot smaller—I didn’t notice it at all until I turned the vacuum on—but it’s just enough of a difference to help this vacuum clean under every piece of furniture in my home. It’s lighter, smaller, and thinner than robot vacuums from brands like iRobot, Dreame, or Lydsto. The eufy G30 takes 1 hour and 10 minutes to clean my apartment. That’s a little longer than your standard robot vacuum; most models I’ve tested take about 50 minutes to clean the same space. However, I noticed two odd things when monitoring the G30 vacuum and EufyHome app closely. The G30 and G30 Edge are near identical, however, the G30 Edge can recognise no-go zones. These are created via the physical boundary strips that are included with the device and must be laid on the floor where the robot vacuum should not go. The C model line includes the robot vacuums with random navigation. Those models look alike underneath and have about the same specifications. The difference between those eufy robots is WiFi connectivity which also makes a robot able to integrate with Alexa/Google Home. eufy offers a number of G30 vacuums, but it’s easy to figure out the differences between the eufy RoboVac G30, G30 Verge, G30 Edge, and G30 Hybrid. The Verge is simply the brand’s G30 vacuum that ships with one set of boundary strips; the Edge is a G30 that ships with two sets of boundary strips; and the G30 ships without any boundary strips. The G30 Hybrid, as well as other eufy by Anker Hybrid vacuums, is a combination robot vacuum and mop.The Hybrid represents the mopping option. The robots with “Hybrid” in the naming can do mopping and sweeping and is suitable for both surfaces, hard floors, and low-pile carpets.
Suction Power. The Eufy RoboVac 30C has stronger suction. The 15C is suitable for hard floors and some thin carpets. If you have low-pile carpets or pets, get the eufy RoboVac 30C; The RoboVac G30 (left), one of the smallest robot vacuums we've tested, next to the Ecovacs Deebot Ozmo T8 AIVI (right), one of the largest For bigger homes, I suggest getting a robot with mapping abilities and longer runtime. This might be the G30 or the L70 Hybrid. These would be efficient and spend less time cleaning your place while the randomly moving models would not cover the whole area and might get lost. The WiFi-enabled "C", "G", "L", and "X" Series can be controlled from your smartphone as well as voice commands if you have Alexa or Google Home. Cliff & Anti-Collision Sensors On test, the Eufy G30 Hybrid impressed with its suction power on both carpets and hard floors. It collected fine dust, cookie crumbs and larger debris – including cereal – with ease, even on the lowest power setting. Capable of mopping as well as vacuuming on hard floors, the G30 Hybrid will happily slosh water over your floors to remove fresh dirt. However, it doesn’t have a scrubbing action, so struggles with tougher, ground-in dirt and stains.The eufy RoboVac L70 Hybrid is the only robot vacuum in the family that is laser-guided which means it creates a map when cleaning and is the most efficient among all the robots in the line. It is also the only model that saves a created map and supports virtual no-go/no-mop zones and can be sent to clean a specific room or a few. It has the best climbing ability and is suitable for medium-pile carpets. There are four models that has mopping: G10 Hybrid, G30 Hybrid, L70 Hybrid, L35 Hybrid, and X8 Hybrid. IR Remote Control & App Control I have some cluttered areas. Do I have to buy a eufy with boundary strips or the other models have no-go zones too?
