About this deal

Another best thing happened when i layer the body mist along with the body butter. The body butter has strong japanese cherry blossom scent too which helps extending the longevity of the body mist.

I've browsed the alleged basenotes, and they're all things I adore as well. Truly, I have no idea what bothers me about this. I love many strange and wonderful frags too, so for me to dislike a "weird" and creative one like this is highly irregular, I have even enjoyed all of the Mugler edps that I have tried! 🤔 In Stores & Online – 40% Off Entire Store on November 27, 2023 at 6:00 AM ET to November 29, 2023 at 5:59 AM ET. Apply the body butter first than spritz the body mist on top is totally perfect match. The only downturn is the body mist liquid is red color and the body butter color content is pastel pink which can leave stain on white clothes. I do not find this scent terribly sweet, as the listed top notes of plum, pear, and apple might lead one to expect. It seems clean and neutral in a unique way. I know of no fragrance to which this one compares, aside from the one used to scent the BBW body product line "self-meditation," which claims to be rice-laden, and which I also like, but I believe has been discontinued. As I said the scent is simple yet paradoxal because while it is a bubbly sort of scent it also, on me at least, has some warmth and a good bit of muskiness and that makes it extremely comforting. Once the spice recedes, the fruits and florals come through nice and strong. Then on the dry down, you're left with an absolutely gorgeous pear, cherry blossom, slightly powdery, vanilla-amber scent. Maybe a little sandalwood in there too. This final stage is what most people would imagine when they think of JCB. But this is the real deal, not the ghost that people have become accustomed to. It's so comforting and beautiful. The sillage and longevity are pretty darn good as well, I have to say. My JCB is an old bottle of the body spray that I hung onto. I used to wear it with the lotion but it got to be too strong and overbearing for me. the special edition flacons are truly adorable with its japanese red metalic cap and blossoms over the puristic elegant flacons. When I wear it I pair it with Bodycology Japanese Cherry Blossom body cream and it's really pretty. I enjoy wearing this again and I should go test the new formula to compare. My old body spray has really stayed in tact and still smells wonderful.

I smelled this in a BBW store when it first came out. They were scenting the whole front store area with the oil warmer or something like that. It smelled so glorious that I ended up choosing all the layering products. That was around 2007 maybe. I wore it a lot and then stopped. Life changed and I moved and it became part of a closed chapter of my life. So happy I got this, it is nostalgia in a bottle. It makes me feel so feminine and mysterious, like the beautiful geishas from an age gone by. And might I add, the body splash is just as great. However, as to be expected, it is not quite as complex as the EDT. It's more like the third stage of the EDT right from the start. But the quality of both is great, they've held their integrity very well and they put the current version to SHAME. I was young when this was released to major popularity. Somewhere in the '00s, someone decided that these heady, musky yet sweet florals would be the base of future BBW scents following it, as well as the hallmark scent of at least the first half of the decade. Before they all started transitioning to the strangely full-onslaught sugar scents we have post-2004 to 2005. I do feel like it has gotten stronger and on the fruitier side, maybe to compensate for 2010s preferences. But overall it is still a classic millennium scent, pleasant, romantic, and not overly mature. I can't place it - the strength of a rose fragrance without smelling directly of roses. (I've yet to smell an actual cherry blossom, if they truly are this fragrant). Definitely evocative of one's actual perfume instead of a watery body splash. I have two editions one is older in a hair spray looking bottle and a body lotion in pink. This is pretty good stuff for putting on during a shower. It's girly and very easy to wear. It smells like it suits younger girls (18 or under but 18 and up and I mean way up (40 and up) could wear it too I guess. It has no real age. It also has no gender because I think it is neither too feminine or masculine and can pass for unisex. So this is fruity, floral, woodsy, musky. It's also a tad spicy with cinnamon. It opens with some green apple. It's very distinct like slices of green apples. Then it smells of light plum and pear. Fruity and fresh as it starts. Then it gets floral with what I felt as being rose, tuberose and lily. I'm sorry but for the life of me I can't smell the cherry blossom. Maybe my bottle is not doing what it's supposed to do or I am not familiar with cherry blossom enough to know what it smells like. If it's supposed to smell like cherry this does not smell of cherry. It's definitely floral and a bit fruity but the fruit is not cherry at all. It's clearly apple and pear.

Japanese Cherry Blossom from Bath & Body Works

Am I the only one who thinks that this smells like shampoo out of the bottle? At first, I didn't like it but I agree with my brother, it smells cool. It reminds me of cold weather and rainy days at night. Then I put some on my skin and wow, it smells amazing! It's all about floral and fruity that is not cloying but rather comforting if you give it a minute. This is also that kind of mist that could be compared to expensive perfumes because it does not smell cheap to me. Yeah I know I said that it smells like shampoo but it's not like your typical shampoo. Expensive shampoo, maybe? Ugh, I'm bad at comparing but my brothers like this one. This is perfect to wear in cold weather but also all year round. I can say that it is distinct from all the mists of BBW. It smells amazing! I did say it twice even though it smells like shampoo before but I changed my mind. One of my favorites! Also, this stays on my skin longer than I expected unlike the other mists which is a plus.

i wish the edt had this intensity and longivity as the roomspray. bought the luxe travel edt spray to reaply when i m out of home, small enough to get in every purse :) indeed a wonderful scent for springtime and summer!I bought the fragrance mist and the body butter because both are actually on sales (you know the Bath & Body Works always have crazy sales happened). Japanese cherry blossom is a powerful, yet discreet fume to me that doesn't want to try too hard to get your attention. What I particularly in JCB like, is that it's there without being too much. What I smell is a mixture of fruity, floral, woody and gourmand. It really has the potential to be either! I sometimes think it smells like butter and marmalade on toast, while the other moment I smell something like a woody pomegranate, then something like combination of red apple and citrus (red apple and fortunately not green apple, that I dislike). It smells a little like cherry in the air, but much better and ladylike. So, I stand behind this as the masterpiece that it is...but I suppose even some of the best art doesn't hit everyone in a positive way...

Being that Japanese Cherry Blossom is such a popular scent, I have tried it numerous times. It is strange, but every time I try it I have a different reaction to it. I don't know if that has to do with the way the scent responds to my body chemistry or if it has to do with my mood, but there are days when I love it and days when I can't stand it. I was gifted with a powerful lotion of this. Upon application I was hit with the memory of that blossom, wrapped around something like berries and a brown sugar cube. Not 100% my style of scent as it reminds me of too many other faceless women who leaped for this kind of "musky floral" as their constant signature over the years. However, I don't hate it because of its versatility. Anyone can wear this if they can *own* it. I've become quite fond of Japanese Cherry Blossom over the last month or so. I bought the fragrance mist in travel size- for three dollars! Who could resist that!- and unlike the other B&BW fragrance mists, it doesn't have that rubbing alcohol SQUEAK! that most other B&BW fragrance mists have. Bodycology's version isn't quite as nice and rich smelling in the body spray so I wasn't tempted to get that as a replacement but the body cream works as a layering and moisturizing element.

Yes I know its marketed to a younger crowd and probably a bit of an immature scent for the true perfume snobs but what can I say? I like what I like and I this is a lovely scent for any woman whose chemistry meshes well with it.
