About this deal

It's so addicting to smell it! At times it smells the way root beer tastes, other times it's a fresh powdery scent, and at the same time it has a camphoraceous menthol scent. In the initial spray it does have a citrus element that stings the nose with the alcohol and a tart sweetness like tart chalky candy (Sweetarts) but it goes away and becomes way softer. It doesn't really smell feminine to me but it does have a sweetness to it so it might not be exactly masculine either. I asked a few coworkers to smell it and one said it smelled like barbershop to her. I guess that kind of confirmed my belief that it seemed more masculine. I spray this on my pillows and some puff balls I had hanging in my car; I can't get enough of the scent! I am disappointed that the scent does not last long and dies down immediately and the sillage is very poor.... Maybe that's a good thing because other people might not like the way it smells. My boyfriend was okay with it it but it wasn't anything that was going to make him swoon. On my skin it dries down to a mild powdery vanilla or marshmallow scent and the root beer scent goes away. On clothes and pillows, the camphor / menthol scent is still there and sometimes smells like a very sugary spearmint chewing gum.....or maybe it smells the way the purple "Violet Flavor" Canel's gum tastes-- or maybe it was Chiclets grape flavor gum I am thinking of. When it really dies down, the scent reminds me of Matrix Biolage's "Blue Agave" Smoothing Shine Milk, but the milk has a tiny hint of coconut. Biolage has good smelling shampoos and conditioners; they have soothing scents. Their products don't have the camphor / menthol scent so if you want to experience the soothing green scent with the creamy vanilla, try Matrix Biolage's hair products. My husband said “you smell like a bunch of pixies hanging out in a wild strawberry bush in the forest.” I really really love the Aura EDP, but it's a bit too strong for warmer weather I think. After testing the EDT and really liking it too I figured maybe the Sensuelle would be a nice fit for use during warm weather since the EDT and EDP are pretty similar and I wasn't sure if getting both would be wise. This is exceptional ! Instant love at first sniff ! Wearing this for the past 5 days now and can’t get myself to wear anything else. Looks like a new signature is about to happen ....

I'm glad I bought a 100 ml refill bottle 3 years ago. As they did with Womanity I'm pretty sure they will change the formula to become more ... crowd friendly. Hence a spark of genius will be gone and that will smell like other perfumes more or less. i was seriously expecting to hate this, even as a mugler stan. this one seems extra controversial. on paper, aura truly doesn't look like something i would normally go for (not much of a green fragrance enjoyer) but omfg. OMFG was i wrong I got a small sample yesterday cause I've been wanting to expand on my Mugler collection a little bit, since I absolutely adore Alien but couldn't quite get behind Angel and was curious to try another main Mugler creation.I apply it generously (I can't help it!) and on my skin it has good projection and lasts more than 12 hours, delighting me throughout the day. Sigh, why can't fragrances I love perform this outstanding? Come to think of it, that reminds me of some people as well, lol. The only people I'd say could blindbuy this were people who get on with complicated compositions like OG Alien. I could definitely see this smelling drastically different based on body chemistry. I think that's why so many people have strong opinions. TL, DR: Eating a fruit cake made of green whipped cream (made from the Thai green ointment) and sugar-coated dried fruits in a tropical rainforest. This makes me FEEL sensual and adorable and like a princess... It's comforting in its sweetness. It's reassuring and it definitely relaxes you in an intimate way. Where as Aura is more commanding and leading, taking charge even, Aura Sensuelle is their younger sibling who has all the time in the world to lounge about and feel good about themselves.

It's a very bright and cheerful perfume, in my opinion. I'm not usually a fan but someone with a caramel-esque perfume was standing close to me on the commute to work and I thought the warmth of burnt caramel would make a great addition to the Aura if the wearer wants to go in a more gourmand direction. There's a faint smell of wet grass, but nothing disgusting. I see how the heat and humidity really helps the fragrance to shine! And that's what makes this perfume so interesting and exciting to me. I too want to be this mysterious being that people will seek over, and think about every now and then until they find me. Aura Sensuelle is from now on the "hide and seek magical fairy" in my book. Once you smell it, you will want to know where it's from and it will haunt you. Or, you know, it could also be "the durian of perfumes" ;D I couldn't stand its intensity at first, but once I smelled it, it got me hooked :) After about 8 hours, the vanilla finally stops screaming, and surprisingly, the tropical green note survives it. Now, Aura is mainly a soft, ripe tropical fruitiness mixed with a delicate green camphor nuance and merest earthy, dust-like astringency, like a humid tropical jungle in a fairy tale, without any deadly, hostile creatures. This far dry down reminds me of Zoologist Bat, but Aura at this stage feels much gentler and easier to appreciate, whimsical yet adorable as well. The wood mixes with the green notes but that sharp astringent note is still present. Instant headache. I'm one of the people who never could really pull off the original Aura. No matter if I just sprayed it or rubbed it in how many suggest, on me the original Aura would always developed a particular quality somewhere in between medicinal and akin to some jelly based candy from my childhood (I never could quite put my finger on which though). In short, even though super unique and interesting, me and Aura to my chagrin just never worked out.Because of this creamy texture and intense sweetness, I don't recognise it as rhubarb like in Hermès Rhubarbe Ecarlate, which is much more juicy, more sparkling and natural-smelling. In fact, the creamy fruitiness combined with the tropical, ripe greenness briefly evokes green banana in my head. It seems to be one of those perfumes which smells different to different people. For instance I get a lot of sweetness and fruits with something really aromatic that I can't put my finger on. It smells bright and fresh but it also smells airy if it's breezy and u catch a waft of it. Saying that though my sister smelt it on me and was like "omg that stinks what are you wearing its horrible" she gets the menthol and medicinal smell people have mentioned so out of curiosity I went around my family in the room one by one to see what they got from it lol ..
