A More Beautiful Question is a flashy journey through the power of questioning to spark dialog, to bring people together, to upset the world, and too innovate. Berger synthesizes a lot of experience as journalist to look at the role that questioning plays in creativity, and develops a simple model based around "Why?-->What If?-->How?"
The Book of Why was reviewed by Jonathan Knee in The New York Times. The review was positive, with Knee calling the book "illuminating". However, he describes some parts of the book as "challenging", stating that the book is "not always fully accessible to readers who do not share the author's fondness for equations". [2] The more questions you ask, and the more thoroughly you ask them, the stronger the story will be. Diving DeeperSnowflake method: With this method, you start by writing a one-sentence summary of your idea. Then, expand it into a paragraph, and then expand it further, continuing to build on your idea and adding elements (plot, setting, characters, etc.) as it grows. Berger’s expanded mission is to ensure that our classrooms are fostering the essential skill of questioning so that questioning no longer falls off the educational cliff. The climax: This is where everything in your story will come to a head. It’s the major turning point, where all the tension and conflict that has been building finally piques. With the stakes at an all-time high, what choice will your character ultimately make that determines the outcome of your novel’s central conflict? Your story has a structural shape. It needs big surprises and reversals – what will those be? Going In Circles I can't answer the questions for you. But I can ask you to use the power of inquiry to examine your life, to question your motivation, and to use questions for the greater good.

What’s motivating them to go forward in the story? Not to be confused with the character’s goal, their motivation is the force driving them toward that goal. (In other words, the goal is what they want; the motivation is why they want it). It could be a basic physiological need, necessary for survival; it could be a desire for something bigger, like love, belonging, or achievement. Whatever their motivation, it must be powerful enough to drive all of their decisions and actions in the story. This deep, human need will be what powers your protagonist to overcome the internal and external conflict in pursuit of their goal.
