About this deal
approx. 8-10 hours (normal climatic conditions, 23°C/50%, rel. humidity). Lower temperatures and/or high humidity can increase the drying time.
Apply thinly and evenly along the wood grain with either an Osmo Hand Brush, the Osmo 220mm Floor brush or the Osmo Microfibre Roller, and spread well. Allow for good ventilation whilst drying. Apply a second coat as before. For the renovation of oiled/waxed surfaces, generally only 1 coat is required. This should be applied to a clean and dry surface. Cork flooring is highly porous and requires an especially thin application, as a result the drying time is increased (min. 24 hours per coat). The ideal application tool is a firm, fine, natural bristled brush. For the best results, apply thinly and remove any excess oil from the surface of the wood with a clean, lint-free cloth.
Also Recommended
The final surface quality is dependent on the wood's surface structure, we therefore always recommend to test the product on a small sample area before complete application.. Natural oils accentuate the natural colour tone and grain of wood (permanent wet look). A dry Osmo Microfibre Roller can be used, if necessary, to roll out brush marks within 30 min of application.
Other household cleaning products such as vanish, bleach, baking soda etc. are likely to cause severe discolouration or staining. Please Note: Oiled or waxed surfaces should not be cleaned with a steam cleaner or steam mop as these will degrade or potentially strip the oiled finish. RenovationSome woods are highly porous and require an especially thin application, as a result the drying time can be increased. For optimal cleaning of floors treated with Osmo Polyx Oil, we recommend the Osmo Floor Maintenance Kit. Apply first coat thinly and evenly along the wood grain with an Osmo Floor Brush - use in conjunction with the Osmo Telescopic Handle for ease of application
