About this deal

I was glad to see the Baton 3 equipped with a ‘press button’ switch just below the lens / reflector / LED assembly. My hand dislikes tailcap switches. The ‘button on the grip’ configuration allows for more natural flashlight carry vs. tailcap switch lights, which are usually carried arm up, elbow bent, thumb on the switch. Just like the Seeker 3 Pro it comes with a proprietary 21700 5000mAh battery installed. It would have been nice to see an upgraded version of this battery with extra capacity. The torch is pretty much exactly the same size as the Seeker 3 Pro – 133mm (5.24”) long with a 35mm (1.38in) diameter bezel. The body is a little narrower but this is quite a chunky 21700 torch. Seeker 4 Pro (left), Baton 3 Pro Max (right)

A battery level indicator built into the side switch that lets you know when the battery needs charging. A green light indicates above 60% power, an orange light indicates 10-60 % power, a red light indicates less than 5-10% power and a red blinking light means less than 5% power and that the torch needs to be charged. We launched the Baton 3 Pro Torch at the O-Fan Days event in September 2022, doesn't the name of the torch sound like an updated version of the Baton 3 ? Actually, no!But I certainly appreciate a good EDC flashlight when I need one, which probably happens about once a week. The Olight Baton 3 Pro Max fits this bill quite well.

The included Olight 18650 3200 mAh tailored lithium-ion battery is specially designed and only this battery and the 3500 mAh equivalent can be charged within the torch. The battery is recharged inside the torch using the included MCC3 magnetic charging cable for faster charging than before. Simply connect the magnet to the base of the torch and plug the USB end into a suitable USB adaptor (5 V 2 A recommended for fastest charging). The Olight Baton 3 Pro flashlight has an e-switch on the head end of the side of the body. The switch cover has a bit of texture and is proud enough that it’s easy to find. It’s also not so proud or soft that it will easily activate accidentally. Installation and setup

The Olight Baton 3 Pro rechargeable flashlight has an e-switch on the head end of the side of the body. The switch cover has a bit of texture and is proud enough that it’s easy to find. It’s also not so proud or soft that it will easily activate accidentally. Want more time to run the light? Drop down to level three, or 120 lumens, and the light runs for an impressive 23 hours. For most close-in work, I found that level three is very suitable. You can see how Olight spec its other brightness modes and runtimes below. I did test the fully regulated 300 lumen mode in my lumen chamber and got just over 8 hours at the full 300 lumens before it turned off – no quite the full 11 hours Olight spec but still pretty good.
