About this deal

I want to give a warning at the beginning of my review. You are going to need time to recover after you finish this story. Consider yourself warned! And something else, something that frightened Ella more than even the assault. It twisted his lips and carved lines into the surface handsomeness of his features, transforming them into a macabre mask of evil. Summer has her own sets of dramas that sometimes were over the top, but overall, she's the nice girl that every parents want to met, every man's fantasy in the bedroom. Her life wasn't easy, but she works hard for everything that she had. She just asked honesty from Ethan, and that was fair enough. So when Ethan decided not to answer simple questions, I don't blame her to quit things off. Béatrice Boucher, the only other staff member still present, said, "Now, Ella, tell me how you really feel about these little events."

What an ending! Such a whirlwind of a book and series. It's been so fun being a part of the Rembrandt Stone world this whole year. I have enjoyed each and every book and it's a bit bittersweet for the series to end. You definitely need to read the other five books first since it's a continuing story. This series would make a great TV series. Oh. My. Goodness. I didn't like that ending one bit! (I loved it though!) I know. I'm contradicting myself but it was just that good. I loved everything about this book!! The characters were amazing! Alexander is such an ass, but oh my gosh, he is a God!! Krys puts him in his place more than once and it drives him nuts and it's part of what makes this book so electrically charged!!

The one thing I love is that you can completely relate to the heroine. Krystinna is your average college graduate with marketing degree with no prospect of utilizing her degree while working in a grocery store, yes ladies in a grocery store! How much real can that get?!?! Meeting an investor due to financial woes of Wallys Grocery Store all things Krystinna would never do again has been completely chipped away piece by piece. And an offer she can refused lands on her lap or does she land in the lap on Mr. Stone?!?! In realistic position I was also excited how close this is to my Home town and yes I heard of Clifton Park.. 15 mins from where I live. I had such a true connection with the characters and how they were plotted into this story. With people all around her, she could never predict what might happen, and the constant tension of holding on to her self-control made her head pound and her nerves fray. Being an antisocial hermit just made life easier. Suppressing the slight, irrational discomfort the man's presence always inspired, she lifted her chin and pasted on her best professional smile—the one with no actual warmth anywhere near it. But he's learned things along this journey. He's not invincible. He's ready to move in humility instead of with the hot headed impulsiveness which has gotten him to this point. This book. This story. I have been trying to put all the pieces together since book one. I mean how in the world was Rembrandt going to get his happy ending? And would it look the same as the very beginning? It's extremely hard to talk about this installment of the book, well any of them honestly, without giving spoilers. So, I'll just say this - this ending was better than I could have imagined. I mean, there were moments I was barely breathing, but for good reason. The way the characters were all brought together, how the bad guys were found, the story behind why everything had happened, and even a surprise twist that I just kind of sat there for awhile smiling about.

Hence, all the ribbing she took about being in love with Sir Arthur. The comments might have bothered her, if she hadn't dated infinitely worse male specimens. The True Lies of Rembrandt Stone has been a hard series for me to read. I couldn't look away, I was on the edge of my seat, and yet there were things that bothered me. Both in regard to the plot and the content. Here in this final installment, if you thought Rem had been on the verge of losing everything before—well, just hang on. He's really about to lose everything. So for one last time, he heads to the past to see what difference he can make. For some people, Ella knew, shyness made interacting with strangers an uncomfortable and embarrassing experience, but Ella wasn't shy; she was terrified. Crowds scared her—more than spiders, more than the threat of global war, more than the boogeyman. Both narrators did an absolutely fabulous job bringing this story to life. Lacy personified Christina's emotions and feelings perfectly. Jeffrey helped make Alexander seem extra handsome. The writer didn’t put mundane dialogue or drama. She kept the storyline focused around Alexander and Krystina. I liked that she wrote the story to where it was written like a believable story. I liked that the writer did her research on the subplot to the story. Having did the research, helped me as the reader relate to the characters and understanding the situations that they where placed in.

If I had one wish this Christmas, it would be to give Krystina what she desperately wanted more than anything—a baby.Ethan Stone is a rich playboy with a heart. He is very close with his sister Diana and a bit less with Tressa. But they support each other. Stone kids are very like there parents, loyal, smart, goodlooking. The assistant museum director raised her eyebrows and pursed her lips. "The two of you certainly startled me," she said. "I knew you were out here, of course, Ella, but I was afraid you might have hurt yourself." Every once in awhile you take a chance on a new author and that author goes on to show why we should never dismiss people stepping into the world of writing. For me, Dakota Willink is such an author. Her debut novel, Heart of Stone, is a book that showed me that new authors can be as equally talented writers and informative narrators as the more experienced authors we know and trust.
