About this deal

Water, Organic Coconut Oil*, Potassium Hydroxide**, Organic Palm Kernel Oil*, Organic Olive Oil*, Mentha Arvensis, Organic Hemp Seed Oil, Organic Jojoba Oil, Mentha Piperita, Citric Acid, Tocopherol I’m so excited to review one of my favorite products: Dr. Bronner’s Castile Soap in peppermint. I remember getting my first bottle of this almost 20 years ago, when it seemed everybody in New York City had one in their shower. What got my attention at first was the label—literally every square inch is covered in some form of raving well-being philosophy, scripture, or sage wisdom. And the stuff inside is legendary, and nothing if not versatile. Loaded with organic fair-trade oils, this "18-in-1" product is a one-stop shop, making it a great body wash, face cleanser, shampoo, shaving foam, bubble bath—you can even brush your teeth with it. It’s also ideal for around the house as dishwashing liquid as well as a terrific all-purpose cleaner that’s safe for kids and pets, according to the brand. Our most popular scent, with a peppermint burst so pure it tingles! Scented with organic peppermint oil to cool skin, clear sinuses and sharpen mind. Our Peppermint Pure-Castile Bar Soap is made with certified fair trade ingredients and organic U.S.-grown hemp seed oil for a soft, smooth lather that won't dry your skin. ORGANIC & FAIR TRADE PALM KERNEL OIL: Grown by fairly-paid smallholder farmers in Ecuador to ensure sustainable harvesting techniques that won't damage local habitats—providing the smooth & creamy lather of our soaps while benefiting people & planet.

Second, Olive Oil. Quite a while ago, I added a comment to this review including, among other things, clarifying some thing you need to know when considering using olive oil on your hair, and I wanted to paste that here. Uh...so...here it is. encased in the [];

5 Reasons to Read “Soap & Soul” by Lisa Bronner

Wet the make-up brushes in water. Add 1-2 drops soap to the bristles. Massage in gently for 10+ seconds, then rinse. Repeat as needed until water runs clear.

Wet dog thoroughly. Massage in enough soap to create a good lather. Really massage it in down to the skin. Your dog will thank you for it. (Amount varies based on size, hair type, and overall dirtiness.) Rinse thoroughly. Organic Coconut Oil*, Organic Palm Oil*, Sodium Hydroxide**, Water, Organic Olive Oil*, Mentha Arvensis, Organic Hemp Seed Oil, Organic Jojoba Oil, Mentha Piperita, Sea Salt, Citric Acid, Tocopherol Bubble Bath: As a bubble bath, Dr. Bronner’s Castile Soap produces tons of light, airy, peppermint-scented foam that gently dissipates, leaving the water fragrant and milky. Shaving Foam: I only shave the top part of my beard, and literally one drop of Dr. B’s on each cheek was enough to get plenty of lather that allowed the blade (Gillette Mach 3) to glide effortlessly over my skin.A couple drops for close-cropped hair or up to ½ Tbsp. (7.5 mL) for long hair, either worked directly into very wet hair or pre-diluted in a cup of water. Follow with Dr. Bronner’s Citrus Organic Hair Rinse or diluted apple cider vinegar. I took Dr. Bronner’s Castile Soap on a test-drive six different ways, and here is how each turned out: Water, Organic Coconut Oil*, Potassium Hydroxide**, Organic Palm Kernel Oil*, Organic Olive Oil*, Organic Hemp Seed Oil, Organic Jojoba Oil, Citric Acid, Tocopherol USES: There are 18 official uses, but we tested it as a body wash, face cleanser, shampoo, shaving foam, bubble bath, and toothpaste. Tbsp. (15 mL) in a quart (1 L) of water. Optional: Add ½ tsp. (1.25 mL) cayenne pepper or cinnamon. Spray plants twice daily in the cool of the day until infestation clears.

Shampoo: Dr. Bronner’s Castile Soap lathered up like any good shampoo should, leaving my hair feeling clean and my scalp all tingly. Those with drier hair may want to follow up with conditioner, but it was just enough clean for my short coif. Das Dr. Bronner's Peppermint Duschgel ist ein erfrischendes und vielseitiges Produkt, das nicht nur für die tägliche Reinigung geeignet ist, sondern auch ein wahrer Genuss für die Sinne darstellt. Use when running water isn’t an option due to illness, large cast or bandage, or when hiking, camping, etc. Combine 1 ½ tsp. (7.5 mL) soap with 1 cup (240 mL) water in a spray bottle. Spray body wash lightly on skin, and wipe with a wet (not dripping) cloth. Dry skin. Face Cleanser: I knew even before bringing the peppermint-scented lather to my face that it would be too much. While Dr. B’s peppermint is a dream on my body, I felt it was too drying for my sensitive skin. If you’re super oily though, it might be the right level of clean you’re looking for. For the sake of brevity, I’ll focus on the top six personal care uses for this review (although I can personally attest to the fact that Dr. Bronner’s Castile Soap is a great household cleaner). It comes in eight different fragrances, and the one I’ve chosen to review is the famous peppermint.Water, Organic Coconut Oil*, Potassium Hydroxide**, Organic Palm Kernel Oil*, Organic Olive Oil*, Lavandin Extract, Organic Hemp Seed Oil, Organic Jojoba Oil, Lavender Extract, Citric Acid, Tocopherol
