About this deal

Su visišku nekantrumu laukiu sekančios autoriaus knygos, nes panašu, kad Roberto Hanterio laukia nauja medžioklė 🖤 Man "Genezė" - labiausiai patikusi, didžiausią įspūdį palikusi ir stipriausiai prikausčiusi serijos knyga 🖤 Nėra vertinimo skalėje tiek ⭐, kad atspindėtų knygos sukeltas mintis ir jausmus. This one also pokes fun at and questions our use the of internet and the detachment from reality it can bring.

When he and his partner are called to the scene of a brutal murder, where the victim has been hung up with a giant fish hook, Hunter begins to wonder if he has reached the edge of the depravity people could inflict on others. With a piece of poetry left at the scene, Hunter and others within the LAPD begin to ponder if this message has a deeper meaning. The only difference was that Hunter got to know a woman and possibly will have a more stable relationship for some time and even though I wanted that for him I can't say I liked her or that I felt who they started to fall in love with each other. It made me feel nothing the three times they interacted during the story and at some I was like "oh great another murder so their meeting will be cut short!" I got more feelings while Hunter comforted a relative of the victim than when he met the woman he is going to have a relationship with. It was also released by the Simon and Schuster publishers in the year 2010. The main plot of this book features the lead characters in the form of Robert Hunter, Claire Anderson, Ian Hopkins, Barbara Blake, Carlos Garcia, Jonathan Winston, and Mike Brindle, etc. A serial killer is at work. Not just any serial killer, but one that puts the power and choices in the hands of the public. Broadcasting live on the internet, this serial killer asks the general public to vote on which more horrific manner of death they want a total stranger to undergo. And vote they do. Human beings voting to see a horrific death.

There will certainly be funny troll comment sections both with the live stream and later when the final video is uploaded. The role of media has a big impact on the psychological dynamic of victim, Hunter, the audience, and the killer, whose motivation turns out to be a bit maybe over the top exaggerated, but somewhat understandable. A new character from the FBI is also introduced here in this book and I hope she makes more appearances as she added a lot.

It´s one of the deeper, more meaningful, and social criticizing parts of the series, not just a maniac without a real agenda besides destroy, rape, eat, and kill, but someone who has really good reasons for revenge. This whole >> society, social media, the youth, whatever is evil and finds gore and torture entertaining << is another, far more complex thing. Depending on who is asked one could get dozens of different theories, thesis, discussions, duels, and battles until death, and explanations out of the shallow waters of many humanities, not even including new weirdo cyber pop psychology. So, story wise, this is really, really good. I have formed a strong attachment of Robert Hunter and his partner in Homicide Special Section Carlos Garcia. Combined with how it makes me ponder about the era of Internet and social media, it easily makes this latest installment another favorite. The main reason I read crime novels is because I love trying to work out who the killer is, but that was nigh on impossible in this novel. There was absolutely no foreshadowing and there were no 'clues'. So many reviewers have said "this novel kept me guessing till the end!" and I would totally agree, but it wasn't in a tense, oh-golly-I-thought-it-was-x-and-now-I-think-it-could-be-y-oh-wow-it-was-z, way… it was in a you've-not-told-me-a-bloody-thing-and-I-have-no-idea-what-is-happening, way. Yes, keep us in the dark to an extent we don't want the killer and their motivations unveiled in the first chapter, but reveal these aspects slowly, so that we might piece the plot together ourselves. Now whilst each of these books can be read as a standalone novel, there is a story underneath it all. With this one, I found myself wanting to see more for Hunter on the relationship front. He’s a wonderful character and I believe I’ve reached the point where I want to see him happy, and certain events in this book left me hoping that there will be happiness for him in the future.I am glad that I gave this novel a try. It did provide me some entertainment and look forward to reading some more books by the author. The mysterious caller however doesn't want Hunter to just watch, but rather participate in an act where refusing is not an option. Librarian Note: There is more than one author in the GoodReads database with this name. See this thread for more information. Robertas supranta, jog tokį disciplinuotą bei kelis žingsnius į priekį apsvarstantį serijinį žudiką sučiupti lengva nebus. Tačiau jis neturi kito pasirinkimo..

Really this is an insanely good crime series. Extraordinarily well written, high quality and high drama all the way, please lets have many many more tales from the world of Robert Hunter. Damn fine reading! Erm and I'm kind of freaked out. Even better. That, how, and when it happens, or illusionary will happen, is more a question of to what extent and not if. While it might at the moment be one of the most disturbing darknet and organized crime features, games like that with audience participation might have a place in different kinds of societies of the future for different reasons. Let´s say corporal punishment, using clones without fear and pain, militaristic societies with classy battle royales, or as an accepted hobby for relaxation, the options are endless. Coerced into making a disturbing choice, Hunter sits through and watches as an unidentified victim is tortured and murdered live on live stream. Meni je do sada najbrutalniji i najkrvaviji deo, moram da priznam da je neke delove bilo teško čitati, jer je Karter detaljan u opisima, čini to tako da vašoj mašti ne manjka ni najmanji detalj. This book will not be for everyone, I totally appreciate that. There are some strong themes of suicide and mental health throughout the story and I think that the author did a wonderful job with it. The dedication at the start is beautiful and made me cry even before I started to read it, The end of the book has details of helplines for those who are struggling. As someone who has needed these resources in the past.. thank you Chris. Such and important message.

The calling cards left at the scene in and around the body of the victims suggest something and someone with purpose, and someone possessing the kind of hate and evil few people are capable of. However, with no connection to the victims or the lyrics, Hunter after 10 days is no further forward in solving the crime. It is clever writing because yes of course serial killer vibe - entirely fascinating, we are all drawn to the dark side - but there are many more layers of story to be had here including in the personal lives of our series mainstays - and a particular character tied to this case who I REALLY hope we hear from again. It felt like we might. I say no more - no spoilers here but if that IS the case I'm really really intrigued by what might happen. A wiki walk can be as refreshing to the mind as a walk through nature in this completely overrated real life outside books:Perez is in hospital. He took a bullet last week, remember?’ Captain Bolter shook his head. ‘Sorry, buddy. You’re it. I’ve got no one else.’
