About this deal

I liked the confident sound of this little preamp, and the presets really do offer a useful choice of characters without getting silly. It's almost like having several different mics to choose from. The metering is better than most small preamps of this type offer, and both the gain and level controls are nicely progressive over their entire range. Verdict Sound quality? Well transparent would be the last word I would use to describe the Tube MP, moderately colored would be my choice. However, don't take that wrongly, what we all want from a tube mic-pre is to beef up or in some other way improve our sound.

Collection and delivery costs are included for the first 2 years in the event of an item becoming faulty The Tube MP is the world’s most popular external tube microphone preamp. Whether you’re working with a digital, computer or analog recording system, the Tube MP’s TEC award nominated design will allow you to obtain professional recording studio results at a fraction of the cost of comparable equipment. The hybrid design of the Tube MP allows it to add warmth and fatness to a signal while maintaining exceptionally low-noise and high quality. While its primary application is to be used with a microphone, the Tube MP is an exceptional direct box – impedance matching, amplifying and improving the sound of any instrument plugged into it.There are a number of presets with the main difference in sound between them being different eq profiles, principally more treble or less. The other difference is whether you want the (preset and non-user-adjustable) limiter to work or not. Honestly I couldn't tell the (very subtle?) variations between the "neutral" and "warm" versions of the presets. The Tube MP is the world's most popular external tube microphone preamp. The most basic model Tube MP is a great value because it is so inexpensive, well made, and good sounding if used right. Naturally, before trying out the preamp, the first step was to prise off the lid and take a look inside. As expected, the valve (in this case a 12AX7/ECC83 dual triode) is accompanied by a significant amount of solid circuitry, including a dual op‑amp and a handful of transistors, so I suspect that a low noise, solid‑state front end is being fed through a valve buffer stage biased to add a noticeable dose of valve coloration. This is fair enough, as it's not easy getting an all‑valve front end to run very quietly, even when you have a lot more money than this to throw at the design.

its own, the lamp does not hear and almost better because in this range made ... (Unless it is fun to saturate). So no coloration of sound in normal use. Using a transformerless design throughout, the Tube MP maintains exceptional signal integrity and extremely low noise. With XLR and 1/4" inputs, a phase reverse switch, and a sturdy steel case, the Tube MP is a great choice for both studio and location work! ART Tube MP Preamplifier Features: If you are interested in receiving this coverage for longer than one year, you have the option of purchasing additional years of the Performance Warranty. The pricing is as follows: Overall the sound has a solid, comfortable feel to it, with plenty of detail but no rough edges. The frequency response is quoted as 10Hz-30kHz (±0.5dB), and the equivalent input noise is -129dBA on the mic input, which is comparable to what you'd expect from a well-designed mixer mic preamp. The dynamic range is typically 100dB and the output level on the XLR is a very healthy +28dBu, which should keep even the greediest soundcard input happy. I found the ART Tube MP Studio V3 to be a versatile and sweet-sounding little mic preamp/DI box. While it might not have the finesse of some of the more up-market, elite models that use high-voltage tube circuitry, it is rather nicer than the preamps found in most small mixers, and tonally a lot more versatile. I'm not a big fan of presets, but these do the job well without detracting from the musicality of the sound, and there's enough choice to suit just about anything you might want to record.I think people who say it does not Pramp do not perhaps have sounded really used properly. Playing between the level and the level of output, we can get some pretty cool results. V3 provides an optimized reference points to begin the recording process. The V3 presets were created and fine-tuned by some of the industry's top studio and live-sound engineers, along with our veteran engineering department. V3 allows you to select between a multitude of preamp settings designed for guitars (electric and acoustic), keyboards, bass guitars, drums, vocals and more. V3 gives you incredible presets for every instrument you record, so all your recordings will sound professional. Need to tweak the presets? Go right ahead -- hone your perfect tone! That's the power of V3. Exclusive OPL
