TheV847-C isan evolution of the classicVoxwah pedal. With specs that adhere closely to the original 1960s formula, the V847-C has a number of modern-day refinements that help it to successfully bringthat distinctive wahtone into the 21st Century. Deliveringa cutting-edgesound with exceptionalpresence and a wide sweep, theVox V847-C will make anything from chords to solos stand out clearly in even the busiest ofband mixes. Contemporary Customisations Dunlop’s CAE Wah even features both red and yellow fasels. You’ll need to fork out more cash for these particular best wah pedals, but they produce a sweeter, mellower voice than the more aggressive sweep of many modern designs. The input impedance has been adjusted to make the sound not merely more powerful but also tastefully warm. The inductor is the heart of every VOX Wah Wah pedal. The V846-HW uses a specially-voiced vintage-spec Halo type inductor. The carefully selected magnetic core material and winding ensures a perfect reproduction of the original V846's Wah sound, the sound sought after by guitarists around the world. The potentiometer is a VOX original that features a distinctive response, and is sealed for durability. Thanks to a remarkably smooth curve, the region at the very beginning of the pedal's travel – a region difficult for conventional Wah Wah pedals – is assured sensitive response with an unprecedentedly fine degree of control.

If you're keen on saving pedalboard space, you may prefer a combined wah and volume pedals, as these offer both types of effects in a single pedal. The Hotone Soul Press is a prime example of this kind of combi pedal. If an item can not be repaired, a similar alternative product or cash discount (as defined in this policy) will be offered The right tone– Tone is everything! That’s 95% of the reason why you expand your setup with a wah in the 1st place – to enhance your tone. So before concluding that pedal X or Y is the best wah pedal for you, be sure to take a listen to how they sound with certain guitars over YouTube. This is especially the case if you’re trying to emulate the sound of a certain guitarist, as some wah pedals can do a lot better job with this than others… Just saying :)The V847-C uses a softer material than the rubber feet on previous models. You’ll be able to turn the wah effect on/off more smoothly while you play your guitar. Come to think of it, a good number of famous guitarists have got to where they are by using very few (& sometimes even no pedals whatsoever. A pedalboard & a wah is not a guarantee of success as a guitarist, although if you ask us, we would say that it makes it a whole lot more likely. See, this pedal does an awful LOT to earn the title of the best wah. Let’s just say you’ll struggle to find a wah that feels this natural to play. The relationship between your foot and the pedal is really something else – a connection you don’t tend to get with cheap wah pedals!! The Dunlop gives you a great amount of control over your sound. Ask us & any piece of music gear– be it a wah pedal, amp or instrument – that helps you express your true sound is worth it’s weight in gold. And for that reason alone, we’d say while wah pedals are not a necessity, they are a piece of gear that every aspiring guitarist should at the very least consider or try out. Because it’s only through experimentation that we find who we are.

Still undecided? Then dive into our guide to the best wah pedals for all types of guitarists now, whether you're a beginner electric guitar player or someone looking to add to their high-end electric guitar setup for a truly pro sound. While carrying on the tradition of VOX wah pedals, the V847-C wah pedal’s numerous customizations make it the perfect modern VOX wah.

The frequency range of the wah (frequencies in which the wah can be varied) has been set lower, with the gain boosted and the Q-value (the sharpness of the wah’s peak) adjusted to deliver a powerful sound with a low center of gravity. The new lighter, sturdier, more affordable than everVox 845 Wah Wah Pedal still has the same killer features that made this design the most popular wah wah specification ever!Investing more cash in a wah opens up additional tonal options. So while basic wahs such as the Electro-Harmonix Wailer Wah don’t have any settings to adjust, more upmarket offerings from Xotic and CAE often feature adjustable frequency ranges and boosts to help tailor the tone to your liking. It’s worth noting that these controls are sometimes found inside the pedal. As a guitarist, there’s a lot of effects pedals you could buy, however many purists believe the wah pedal to be one of the most important? While you can buy many good cheap wah pedals, you’d be a fool to buy the first one you come across. For customers in outlying areas of the country, the price of the Extended Warranty may be marginally higher, due to the potential for higher collection and redelivery transport costs. Vox has tweaked the frequency range of the V847-C wah so that it isset lower, with the gain boosted and the Q-value (the sharpness of the wah’s peak) adjusted to deliver a more potent sound with a low centreof gravity. The input impedance has also been adjusted to make the V847-Cwah not only sound more powerful, but also tastefully warmand complementary of any guitar plugged into it! True Bypass Circuitry

The internal circuitry of the V846-HW uses no printed circuit boards whatsoever; the hand-wired turret board construction requires a high level of craftsmanship, technical skill, and precise manual assembly. Labor intensive, this hand-wiring artistry creates an ideal and efficient signal path. Responding to every nuance of the guitarist's touch, the V846-HW is truly the ultimate Wah Wah pedal. Plus, for a cheap wah pedal, it actually feels quite good to play. There is a pretty good connection between you & the pedal. What’s more, for a pedal at this price range, you’d expect it to feel flimsy, but as far as we can tell, it’s pretty well put together. Put it this way, it feels like it’s not just going to fall apart in 5 minutes. The true bypass design means that the signal does not pass through the circuit when the unit is switched off, ensuring that its tonal character is unaffected. And thus the Wah pedal was born, and released in 1967 with an image of Clyde McCoy on the bottom of the pedal. At the time Vox’s US distributor, Continental Organ Company, was into Big Band music and thought the Wah might work better if marketed for woodwind instruments, which was why Clyde McCoy, a famous jazz trumpeter, was used for the marketing of the new pedal.
