I'm on Telus with optic tv, the separation of the tv network from my camera's and pc's I love. So if you have an existing lan setup, it will plugin to it and create it's own lan. But I haven't found a bridge, or a way to pass the nat. So the 2 will not meet. Even though Vilo’s test results were nowhere near the speeds of our current Wi-Fi 6 system, over 90 Mbps on a speed test is still more than fast enough for gaming, streaming 4K video on YouTube or participating in a Zoom call. I’m noticing some of the trouble might be due to a bug with Apple’s tvOS though and may not relate to the router at all. TBD. I’ll probably end up leaving the networks separate just because I’m a control freak. So all and all, it does what you need, simplistic network- but for folks, not geeks like me, it's really nice. Each router has four internal antennas and supports multiuser, multiple-input, multiple-output (MU-MIMO), which allows it to better handle multiple devices connecting to the router simultaneously. There’s also beamforming to focus the wireless signal toward devices.
I tried to test three things: the consistency of the signal, the available throughput, and the coverage area. The first was simple: I connected the Vilo mesh and T-Mobile gateway to thethe tablets, game console, and PC that my kids gamed, chatted, and otherwise used nearly non-stop during this pandemic summer. (Even while reading, my youngest son will leave a voice chat app running with the screen off to talk with his friends as a nearly perpetual party line.) I let my kids complain about any interruptions in their service, and they reported one of just a second or two during that time. Ididn’t notice any signal drops when running Vilo on top of my standard cable gateway. Clip edits like trim, split, speed, reverse, rearrangement and adding additional images or videos are all easy to handle. High yields reduce Ct values by more than two cycles ahead of all other reverse transcription reagents

There's a huge performance and coverage improvement over the Vilo 5, with just 2 nodes I can cover my entire house with no issues, instead of the 3 nodes with Vilo 5. In my case, I use the Vilo in bridge mode and it works pretty well. Keep up the good work! I had my doubts about this system, but it has proved to be incredibly reliable! Turns out I only use 2 of the nodes but it never hurts to have EXTRA coverage. Simple setup and provides whole home coverage for a large technically 4-story house (including basement and attic) I have put these through their paces with streaming, gaming, multiple devices running simultaneously and have not had a single drop, lag, skip, NOTHING! The ease of set up is great, as close as you can get to virtual “plug and play”. The Vilo Fun range is more than just pretty to look at. Just like our other Vilo products, these panels are waterproof, durable, and incredibly easy to install. In fact, our MacBook Pro automatically connected to the test network on a morning when we had a lot of Zoom calls, and we didn’t notice any difference at all. For the past 10 days, we’ve had Vilo up and running in our home office, connecting several devices to its wireless network. During our time testing, we didn’t notice too many hiccups or slowdowns, proving to us Vilo is on to something here. But the system isn’t perfect. Let us explain. You can set the ip range, dhcp reservation, port forwarding. but that's about it. The parental control are device specific. Running multiple speed tests, only once did we see results break 100 Mbps when connected to the Vilo’s network, and that was immediately after rebooting the main Vilo node. Otherwise it averaged over 90 Mbps. We’re also testing the Wi-Fi 6-capable Plume SuperPods right now, and during the same speed test that broke 100 Mbps, the SuperPods hit speeds over 560 Mbps.
The front of each unit has an LED indicator light and a small button. That button is used for getting online, while the light gives you a glanceable status update based on the color of the light. And because a mesh network is made up of multiple devices, you’re able to create a much bigger Wi-Fi network that should also be more reliable and provide better speeds.

As shown on the map, the Vilo system did a relatively good job of providing a strong Wi-Fi signal throughout our test home, with only a slight weakening in the lower area of the kitchen. The main router's speed of 347Mbps on our close-proximity (same room) throughput test was 108Mbps slower than the Meshforce M7 router and 174Mbps slower than the EnGenius ESR580, while the Asus ZenWiFi AC CT8 notched an impressive 549Mbps. On the 30-foot test, the Vilo router node fared a bit better: It managed 207Mbps, beating the Meshforce M7 and EnGenius ESR580 routers by a slim margin (205Mbps and 198Mbps, respectively). The Asus ZenWiFi AC CT8 led with a speed of 228Mbps.
