The pixel pitch shows the distance from the centers of two neighboring pixels. In displays, which have a native resolution (the TFT ones, for example), the pixel pitch depends on the resolution and the size of the screen. Updated to Test Bench 1.2, resulting in changes to the results and scores with the Response Time and Input Lag. Added tests for Console Compatibility and macOS compatibility and made minor changes to other tests, which you can see in our Changelog. Approximate width of the display. If the manufacturer does not provide such information, the width is calculated from the diagonal and the aspect ratio. A higher resolution allows the display of a more detailed and of higher quality image.

The percentage of the approximate area, taken by the active part of the screen, to the total front area. We spent about 1/2 hour playing around with all the different settings... saturation, blue levels, contrast, etc... trying to achieve the best look we could, then we decided to try the HDR setting in Windows 10 and WOW what a difference, everything looked amazing, so we kept the HDR setting on. My brother did find the monitor very bright, in fact he turned the HDR brightness setting in Windows down to 27 (out of 100) so it wasn't so hard on his eyes. He was coming from a low budget TN panel and he couldn't believe the difference an IPS panel can make, he said he noticed details in his games he never saw before, and the colors where so much more vibrant, a massive improvement. HDR Capabilities: The HDR10 support enhances contrast and color accuracy, making games and media content appear more lifelike. It looked similar in the UFO Test for both XL2540K/46K in terms of overshoot afaik, but in practice - which is more important - I recall overshoot wasn't an issue on XL2540K. That's the weird thing how UFO Test can be deceiving sometimes (the difference between UFO Test and practical tests), at least from my experience. My XL2546K was unusable in Aim Lab, for example, like I posted before - there was too much smearing with AMA Off and too much distracting overshoot with AMA High or Premium, as well as too much crosstalk with DyAc+. It was totally fine for CSGO though. XL2540K was fine for both Aim Lab and CSGO.Resolution on a 27-inch Screen: While the Full HD resolution looks good, some users might prefer a higher pixel density for tasks other than gaming, such as productivity or content creation. On the K model when you set Brightness to 100, Dyac OFF, Dyac High and Dyac Premium can all achieve the same max brightness. Keep the thread civil with constructive informations and feel free to share everything, from 280hz windows/game implementation to more technical informations. The maximum number of colors, which the display is able to reproduce, depends on the type of the panel in use and color enhancing technologies like FRC. The ASUS TUF Gaming VG279QM 27” HDR Monitor is a formidable addition to the gaming world, offering a blend of speed, immersion, and stunning visuals. While it excels in many areas, it has a few minor limitations worth considering.

We tested the monitor with the PS5's new variable refresh rate feature and confirmed that it's not compatible, since the PS5 only supports HDMI Forum VRR.

EXTREME LOW MOTION BLUR SYNC

of the people running this monitor at 280hz already used OD80 because it was way clearer than OD60, the average overshoot of OD80 is 19.3% which is 2x more than OD120 and it affects 46% of transitions compared to 30% of OD120, but with 2 to 5 times higher overshoot levels in each transition. Adaptive Sync OFF (It truly comes down to personal preference, I find that at 280hz tearing is very very hard to notice, much less than at 240hz)Even Premium isn't too bad (OD Gain 29). They went a bit conservative on it as I prefer it a few notches higher up with DyAc on (but the two settings are perfect with Dyac off).
